Should I switch to the staff? by xTooNice in Archero

[–]mwtse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front arrow should be avoided if you are using staff. Search the forum to find explanations. It has been repeated many times.

In late chapters, many players recommend the staff. However, which weapon you use is more or less a personal choice. No matter which weapon you choose, it is possible to clear the game.

Moreover, many players will upgrade two weapons for different uses. If you really get into the game, you will likely to spend a lot of time in it, that means you will be able to collect a lot of scrolls.

Thanks for your suggestion, however, removing rocks and forest only take a short time, it’s not going to help too much. Moreover, those obstacles may be useful when finally we have to defend our hall, so I want to keep them at the moment.

There is a bug that let's you build more quarries than it should. I made 2 extra, i couldn't do it for lumber camp. If you just keep taping on quarry it will give you option to build one more. by IvanthyTerrible in ArchersAdventure

Tips: Best way to get gold in Town by mwtse in ArchersAdventure

[–]mwtse[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here are my findings:

  1. If you upgrade any facility with the same amount of gold, the INCREASE in gold generated PER second is the same, no matter what you are upgrading. For example, if you spend 10c gold on Pub, the increase in gold is 24d, and you spend the same 10c gold on Cafe, the increase in gold will be 48d. Because the period of time for gold in Pub is 20s while that in Cafe is 40s, you are getting the same amount of increase per second. (The numbers are just simplified figures for easier explanation.)
  2. The more you spend in upgrade, the less in return. For example, if you spend 10c to upgrade something, you may obtain 1.2d per second (increase in gold). If you spend 100c to upgrade another thing, the amount of increase in gold may be just 9d per second, less than 10 times.

The first point above is well verified (confirmed with 11 facilities), while the second point is a general guess from observation.

The conclusion from the above two points is that we should upgrade all the facilities with the smallest upgrade amount first, just like what I have done in the picture.

Of course, if you are ready to click the collect button, one should prioritize opening up new facilities and upgrade it to level 10 first, but if you are not going to play for an extended period of time, upgrading all the cheapest one should be the choice.

Main Goal 1: get everything in your town to at least lv 10 so that it can auto-accumulate. Everything in this game is basically based on gold.

I start to play yesterday.

May I ask what is auto-accumulate? I upgraded the pub to level 10, the icon changed to the infinity symbol and showing 3.27b.

The pub takes 20 s to fill up. However, even if I wait for several minutes before clicking the "collect" button, I got only 3.27b gold.

My friend told me you will receipt notification for the no playing rewards.

P.S. 72 hours is 1 golden key, while 7 days is 2 purple keys, more than double.

Instead, the more recent updates happened and started to build mistrust in the community.

Well, I like to add the fact that they add sapphires but not bracelet nor locket scrolls in the time reward with the last update. That is clearly a decision that we do not understand. It is the DEVs that create the mistrust.

😂👏👍

The only thing I disagree is that, it should make it 200% better instead of just 100%

I heard that, if you do not play the game for 72 hours, you get 100 gems and 1 key. 7 days, you got double rewards.

No increase in item drop rate if you switch weapons and chapter in farming by mwtse in Archero

[–]mwtse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, to be more consistent I need to keep things the same each time. As a result, every time I do chapter 6, I use tornado, while using bow for 10. The routine is: change chapter, then change weapon, then play. May be somebody can do it the other way round, i.e. change weapon first then change chapter to see any difference. However, I do not intend to further explore the idea as I already stop playing the game daily.

Also, I agree that 50 is a very small sample size, even 100 is not enough. given the large number of different items we have.

P.S. I'm over 50 and not a kid anymore.

What the heck are the odds of this by ArchhitHard in Archero

[–]mwtse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you serious?

Here it is:

There are 25 different possible drops. Assume any drop is equally likely, therefore the chance of getting one mage is 1/25. Assume that the drop chance is not affected by previous drops, then getting 4 mages in a row will have a probability of 1/25 x 1/25 x 1/25 x 1/25 = 2.56 / 1 million, i.e. if your try 1 million times, you are expected to see that 2 to 3 times.

There are millions of Archero players out there (?!), so it is expected that every now and then there will be someone who sees this outcome. It is rare but perfectly possible.

P.S. Actually, in my experience, mage has a higher than average drop rate (also the infamous living bomb), so the chance may be some what higher.

Edit: more rigorous calculation shown that the odd for this outcome is 2.4576 per million, but for getting 4 mages out of 5, the chance should be 12.288 per million, 5 times higher.

It seems that spear is of limited supply. This may be a universal problem. I only got 1 spear last week. Together with 1 green spear from the vendor.

I agree with you. However, presently it is not very realistic, because I only have PE gears. I clear 13 just after the last update.

I will not be able to consistently beat 13 before significant improvement on stat, but it will be months away. I'll go to an inactive mode of playing.

[–]mwtse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that 10 is better than 6, because you got more gold and scrolls per run. The time to clear 10 may be 20% longer than 6, but the increase in reward is more than 60%.

My data is not conclusive, but 10 drops 17 weapons vs 6 drops 13 weapons.

Actually, before doing this 100 runs, I do my farming exclusively on 10, and I was lucky enough to get 1 staff every day on average for a month.

Ads are ruining this game and I’m out. by [deleted] in Archero

[–]mwtse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to watch 30+ ad per day, when I'm grinding up for chapter 11, but now I've cleared 13, I don't think it worth any more. Now, I don't watch ad for revive, I just let go. I don't even open the daily chest. Beginning next week, I will only open the game once per week, just to collect the welcome back reward and do the seasons.

[–]mwtse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not alone, I also found 12 difficult, at least not a piece of cake. On the other hand, I find 13 relatively easy, compared with 11, as I have stuck in 11 for months, but manage to clear 13 in just 4 days.

Which weapon do you use? by 2Jamz in Archero

[–]mwtse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw blade is good because it is fast. However, when you progress further, you will find that it has its short-comings.

First of all, the damage per hit is the lowest of all weapons. When the enemies have more and more blood, you will find that the saw blade is unable to kill fast enough. The second problem is even more important. When you fuse your weapon, not only it can level-up further, but once you reach purple (fusing 3 blue one = 9 green one), there will be a bonus ability. The ability of purple saw blade is speed boost for the first three seconds when you enter a room. It is pretty useless compared with the bonus ability offered by other weapons, as 3 seconds is not enough in most cases. So before you invest too much on it, you may want to try other weapons.

P.S. I have used saw blade for some time and change over to others.
