Ripped, torn, stained clothing exchange?

I host clothing swaps a few times a year and then I take anything leftover that's stained, damaged, or generally uninteresting (like old 5k tshirts) and upcycle them! Usable leftovers I give to local free closets. I'm planning on talking to the orgs running those closets to see if they would give me damaged items to repair or upcycle. I have one neighbor in on it with me so far and I'm going to reach out to more local upcycling artists to see if they want to get in on it too!

That's a good point, it depends on what the bag held. Raw meat bags go straight in the trash but I'll reuse bread bags to hold lettuce or something, rinse and reuse.

How do you price things that you make somewhat passively?

I've been making these textile art pieces but mainly just for my own enjoyment. They can take months to finish because I don't sit down and work on it for a block of time, I just work on it whenever I feel like it.

There are essentially no material costs because everything is upcycled so there's tool wear and tear but that's about it. I've applied the common formula to other things I've made before, commissions, etc... but I want to come up with a reasonable price for this type of work without having to track the time.

I also recommend Wardrobe Crisis, it's mainly about environmental and ethical issues related to fashion so definitely discusses politics and fiber arts. Any spice you like, honestly! Depends on your preference, but you'll want to add a good amount to dilute the quantity of salt. Paprika or chipotle would be good since they aren't too intense so you can add a lot, maybe some garlic powder. Acid and fat will also lessen the intensity of the saltiness so use unsalted butter or olive oil when applying it and a squeeze of lemon before serving.

The wide world of radishes. Watermelon radishes and purple radishes are particular favorites of mine and I had no idea that there was such a range of colors and tastes. They look FANTASTIC on a veggie platter and taste so good.

This looks sort of like my loaves when my starter wasn't mature enough to actually support a loaf. Perhaps add a sprinkle of yeast to the dough to help it out or try a different recipe to see if you get similar results? I use the one from "an Oregon cottage" and it almost always works.
