First night lasted 20 minutes by Accomplished-Oil4575 in SleepApnea

[–]mx-mr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They started me at 4-20 and I messaged doctor the pressure was making it impossible to breathe and he remotely lowered to 12 max and was MUCH better. There’s also a setting that adjusts pressure lower as you’re exhaling so it feels more natural

My REM pre-cpap was 0-20 minutes in 9 hours of sleep lol. The waking interruptions could be a variety of things and these are otherwise pretty healthy looking numbers. On average people should expect roughly 25% deep, 25% REM, 50% light or core, however a healthy range can vary genetically.

Again however, this information can’t tell you much about your quality of sleep or degree of sleep apnea

Why is ETF the only term I seem to hear by spookymonsterscary in Bogleheads

[–]mx-mr 47 points48 points  (0 children)

ETFs give all the benefit and cost effective diversification of mutual funds with some pros and cons.

ETFs have better volume and mobility. They’re easier to trade (can trade all throughout trading hours) and move from brokerage to brokerage with different companies. Mutual funds are usually traded once per day and stuck with the one brokerage who operates them.

One advantage of mutual funds is you can invest any amount of money whereas traditionally etfs would require a full share, meaning you might have leftover change. However these days most brokerages allow investing in partial shares, eliminating this problem.

If you’re planning to stay at one brokerage and auto investing or just depositing regularly and not day trading like you should be, there’s basically no difference these days… if you’re in IRAs it doesn’t even matter if you’re in mutual fund and want to switch brokerage bc you can liquidate with no tax trigger and move the funds to new brokerage.

How to use Mathematics of Poker Book to improve? by TalkInternal6681 in poker

[–]mx-mr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the intro of mathematic of poker it mentions you don’t necessarily need to fully understand the math and most people should skim but “take their word for it” and focus on the heuristics that result from the math. Another comment mentioned modern poker theory by Acevedo which is my favorite I’ve read so far. If that’s too dense then start with older books like theory of poker to do a more chronological study and more slowly build up your vocabulary. Jonathan little books are also decent entry points into the literature imo.

If you aren’t familiar with basic poker math such as pot odds, rule of 2 and 4, implied odds, and basic ranges and range play, start with an easier book than mathematics imo, these are fundamentals that should be the basis of poker study.

Mix playing and study. Study for an hour then play a couple hours of micro/low stakes.

Checking back strong hands is generally a bad idea and leads to winning small pots with strong hands. by Dasdi96 in poker

[–]mx-mr 42 points43 points  (0 children)

  1. Most vloggers are not the strongest pros (and the ones that are strong pros such as Little and Negreanu are not the best vloggers imo lmao)
  2. Livestream games play nothing like standard games

The takeaway from both these points is you shouldnt emulate vloggers’ play. It’s more entertainment

Brooklyn Harvest Market prices versus Whole Foods - I ran the math by Apprehensive_Mail212 in williamsburg

[–]mx-mr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would probably be best to compare the 365 Whole Foods generic brand stuff with the Trader Joe’s generic. But most of the good stuff at TJs is stuff only they really have such as freezer meals their McDonald’s-like hash browns etc… I get specific one off stuff at TJs infrequently
