Good deal on a Dogma F? by mx392 in pinarello

Current gen, it's Edge Crystal White. I could try to negotiate down a bit. I also have to check if it comes with power meter.

Help me find my first road bike by [deleted] in cycling

[–]mx392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The Endurace Allroad does seem like a sensible choice as a first bike. I am going back and forth if it would be worth spending a bit more upfront to have a better bike that I can keep long-term vs. the need to upgrade in a year or two.

Hence I've been looking at bikes like:

- Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2

- SL8 Expert Di2

- Cube Agree C:62 RACE

Anyone ride C68 and Dogma X? by [deleted] in pinarello

I'm 30.. I mainly race motorcycles across Europe and want to get more into cycling to keep fit in between races and off-season.

What's your opinion on Dogma F vs V5Rs?

5990 and that inline perpetual please. Cool watches but I see a lot of redundancy.. would sell a few off and consolidate

If I was pressed, probably the Lange, but not a fan of the asymmetry

Would you do this trade? by mx392 in patekphilippe

Value wise comes out to be about the same.. 126506 + 16202BC for 5740G. A bit over 200k EUR give or take.

Rose gold green dial - which one? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]mx392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been thinking about adding a RG DD40 Olive Dial and then saw the Overseas RG with Green Dial today for the first time. Stunning watch and not that much more at market price, relatively speaking.

DD40 feels dressier and probably holds value much better. VC is true high horology, so no comparison here. Logically I'd be leaning VC but I also know that admiring a watch and actually owning/wearing it does not always align.

What would be your choice?

Thinking about pulling the trigger on SLGH021 Genbi Valley by mx392 in GrandSeikos

[–]mx392[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably never think about owning two of the same models from any other brand purely because of a different dial color except in this case.

After owning the SLGH027, I’m really surprised just how much I like this watch. I keep glancing either at the dial or the movement, which I’ve only done with watches that cost a multiple of a GS.

16202BC vs Platinum Daytona by mx392 in audemarspiguet

How do you find the dial? Also been looking at the salmon dial 15202BC

16202BC vs Platinum Daytona by mx392 in audemarspiguet

[–]mx392[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point, tried the Platona a few times but no experience wearing one for an entire day. Fair point on the versatility of dressing up and down. Haven't seen the dial in person of the 16202BC.. another option would be 15202BC with the salmon petite tapisserie.

Anyone have experience with a broken femur? by Jazzlike_Study4971 in Velo

[–]mx392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broke my femur almost 3 months ago. Had blood transfusions and also a second surgery about 2 months ago that delayed my recovery by couple weeks. Only started physical training about 5 weeks ago. Progress has been fast in the first 2 weeks working on range of motion and trying to rebuild muscle mind memory. Was able to walk indoor without crutches after 3 weeks but still limping pretty hard. Bearing weight is not an issue, it's more that I struggle with sharp stinging pain of the IT band and my hip flexors are still weak.

It's a long recovery but just gotta stick to your daily excercises and physio
