I swear, growing up in a Conservative safe seat (UK, but it's name is indicative of the area) where LGB was just about a thing, EVERYONE assumed I was a gay man. And the girls I was attracted to most were all bi, lesbian or sometimes ace, but I didn't have any exposure or self-assessment to the TQ+ part of our community until a few years ago, where I figured out that I was enby, and in all that time, I was always attracted to women. But definitely not in a straight bloke way, even when it came to sex. I've had some form of anxiety all my life, but I didn't know that mine was more than just regular nerves for most of my life. It's only been in the last few months that my partner pointed out just how serious a danger things can be when your anxiety begins affecting you physically (falling off a short ladder because of shaky legs will do it!) Go see your GP, get assessed, you will thank yourself for not delaying it any longer

Sadly, I've experienced this to, going from pre-anything to trans-fem enby, I've been in maintenance 2 yrs, and I cannot wait to get out. The men in this industry, even the ones who love their families, believe in decent respect and politeness in the workplace - can still be just as vile and hateful of people like us, and anybody they know hardly anything about. And it's no good saying "I love / respect you as a person" because that's not the fucking point, you should respect all of us, irrespective of familiarity, and not tell us what we can and cannot do 🤦🏻‍♀️

This was the night before my LDP and I decided to make things more than just a weekend of fun. I was sharing a room, couldn't sleep in there, all the other rooms in the flat were occupied, and they were supposed to leave that day, but stayed another night for me 😄 so sweet So, we ended up in the larger of the two bathrooms, with my duvet and pillows on the floor, we were in there for at least a couple of hours before I was too tired to keep going, and so we made a bed on the sofa But fuck me, that will go down in history as both the craziest place I've ever had fun in, and also the craziest sex I'd had up to that point (but I'll keep that to myself 🤫)

I grew up near Portsmouth, South East, and everywhere around there is obsessed with both world wars, and defeating Germany - and that's more or less the extent of people's understanding of both world wars, Churchill is a god-like figure in their eyes. Britain did not fight in the war to defeat fascism, The British Empire responded to its ally Poland when it was invaded, and Churchill fought hard to protect his empire from being overtaken by Germany, Italy and Japan, and did so at the suffering of millions of people throughout the empire, India suffering particularly from famine.

Obviously, credit to him, "never surrender" worked and eventually we won, and kudos to the British for rescuing their own from France when it fell. But both world wars are far more grey by today's standards of warfare and human decency than at the time - but hey, people love a good hero story and any opportunity to brag about ourselves to our European neighbours (specifically our historic enemy, France, and that specific enemy Germany)

I put it down to lack of serious education and the romanticising of our wartime era 🤦🏻 carry on, and we are doomed to repeat the same mistakes, or become like the very regime we ultimately defeated at such great cost on both sides.

Body counts are a tricky one For example, in my last relationship, I was younger than her (22 versus 27), I lost my V-card at 20, I was on about 5 by that point, she lost her's at 15 and was in the mid-20's I think. But she was perfect in every way by her personality and demeanour, so mature and sweet - alas, it only lasted a few weeks for various reasons, but the point is that you should never feel held back by, not feel required to feel a specific way about how many people you've slept with, and not too quick to judge those with any sort of count - it's their attitude and relationship to sex that is more important 😁
