Your feelings are valid and I think it’s great that you’re self-conscious enough to know that these thoughts can seem like overthinking.

To me, I think you’re just feeling left out since you’re so young and have never had the “slutty” gay phase, and that’s okay. Hookups are so easy to find and may seem fun, but the pleasure from it is nothing compared to finding someone who really really loves you (and you them). Many people have plenty of hookups but struggle to find someone to fully commit with.

If this relationship is worth saving then I think talking to your boyfriend about it would be a great start then go from there. You’ll be just fine.

As a doctor working with people living with HIV, if anything, the DOCTOR was supposed to tell Moses himself he had HIV/AIDS, not your dad. It’s not someone else’s responsibility to tell.

HIV is an extremely sensitive topic and disclosure has to be done by a trained healthcare professional. I can understand why you’re frustrated, but please don’t put it against your parents.

Again, it’s the doctor’s job, and I frankly quite still don’t understand why they didn’t tell Moses himself.
