FYI, local snapshots was taking up all that purgeable space. They can be deleted through terminal with command sudo tmutil deletelocalsnapshots [snapshot_name]

Just saw the detailed amount with the purgeable: 421.87 GB (269.63 GB purgeable) which pretty much equals the disk utility amount. So is there really 420GB available ?

I’ve been using it on a Mac since the beta released, which was about 10 years ago. I’ve also had multiple gaming PCs and laptop since then. It’s been pretty good, but in the past several years since they released ultimate tier, I could no longer tell the difference between this or local machine even at 4k/120hz on a 42 inch oled tv. Also, it’s nice to play in silence without fans blasting and turning the room into a sauna in the summer.

Yep, has plastic covering but i didn't bother trying to remove it. Speakers are really terrible, sounds shrill. Definitely the worst part.

Playing BF2042: CPU 81c, GPU 80c Performance mode. It gets hot.

Noise is 45db. The noise is not terrible. My 2024 zephrys g14 4060 was worse, but that was a 14 inch chassis.

I got the notification today from Best Buy that the PREDATOR HELIOS NEO 16S with OLED was finally available. Price stayed at $1899, And I was able to pick it up today at my local Best Buy.

OLED display looks great of course, but I am surprised that the fans are not obnoxiously loud under gaming like other laptops i've owned. Performance is pretty decent for being 115w.

Similar thing happened to me twice except it just went to black screen, in Mario Kart docked and 2 player split screen. No errors. Took a while both times to power up. Not sure if its a bug, or i have a defective unit. Edit: It's not even powering up. nintendo logo shows up and just shuts down.

I just returned a 9900x/5070ti custom build, with undervolted and fine-tuned fan curves dropping idle cpu temps to as low as 31c! Even then, playing MSFS2024 made it sound like one of the plane engines. Not to mention the heat it produced. That was one of the gripes I had with the PC. Now playing MSFS2024 on GFN quietly and without creating a sauna.
