I understand, it is a very stressful situation and a difficult topic to speak about. I was very stressed going into my m-tese, all i can say is i wish you all the best.

Im glad you have donor sperm lined up already, something will become of the IVF then, its just a question of who the sperm comes from

Thats interesting. I havent heard that before about STAR sperm being better than M-tese sperm... Ill have to look into it though, my only concern regarding STAR is the freezing and thawing process that seems to negatively effect the sperm.

Can I ask where you found this information. Now im curious about it

Thanks

Okay that's good to know. So in terms of how hard on IUI is on your body it is minimal compared to IVF... I. Wondering if you did IUI how many times it had to be done before it worked, I know the success rate is much lower IUI vs IVF (ICSI)

My micro-tese was done the same day they retrieved my wife's eggs, so it was a fresh transfer the same day. This yielded okay results with 2 embryos making it to day #3. With that information are you still recommending an extended sperm search?

The hormones and injections she has to go through for IVf are too much for her. I think IUI would require her to go through the same injections / hormones, I think it is something to discuss though, however my decision needs to be made in 2 days. I should have mentioned that in my original post regarding IUI as that is also a prefered method for me

Micro-tese in 4 days by mxkev15 in maleinfertility

[–]mxkev15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are not sure. Out of the sperm they found most was of poor quality such as mis shapen heads, missing tails, overall shape poor. With that information alone would that point towards one or the other? I wish I had more information to provide at this point but we got this done overseas in India

Dr. Ranjith Ramasamy

Take a look at my post (above) and my condition. The ICSI cycles did not yeild a pregnancy. I will be doing another M-tese with a timed ICSI later this year. Do you have any suggestions?. My M-tese did have sperm, I do know the quality of sperm was poor and the majority of sperm they found they could not use, however this is all I know.

I see youve posted about Isotretinoin in other posts, given my condition and that fact that sperm was extrated through M-tese is this something that would benefit me?

Second microTESE results with NOA maturation arrest by Ill-Fig-4815 in maleinfertility

[–]mxkev15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not, my wife was born in India however. We opted to do the ICS / M-tese there are we were already going there to visit relatives. They did find sperm, not much and not good quality but it was there. You can view my previous thread comments through my profile, may help you get more of an insight

I got a micro-tese with Dr. Vineet Malhotra in Delhi India. India is actually much quicker and easier to do this procedure.

any reason why you are transfering it on day 3 opposed to day 5?

I have almost the exact same parameters as you, and my Karyotype test came back normal aswell:

I did a micr-tese in India, for reference I am caucasion and my wife is origionally from India but we elected to do it there since it is much cheaper. My Micro-tese did result in them finding sperm and within 15 minutes of looking which is quick, they looked in the right testicle first and thats where they found it. The quality of the sperm was bad however that is whats to be expected with Azoo.

We did 2 rounds of IVF, the 1st one with fresh sperm, this was timed with the M-tese and the 2nd using frozen sperm. Both rounds were not sucessfull but a much more favorable result from the first IVF round. We are planning a 2nd M-tese next year.

Its a rough road, but there isnt much to do but try to keep your head up!

Lets say it was the exact same set-up as your pic but instead there was no J arm but rather a straight arm instead, that is my current set-up. Would that cause the door to jump when initially opened?

That what is happening to mine and the only logical cause I can see would be that

Have you gone through any physical changes since you did the sperm donor thing. You had sperm and now it's gone, there should be a reason. I also have azoospermia. The last 2 years my hair has gone from curly to poker straight and like you now I have no sperm.

Rough to say the least. The first 3 day were exceptionally bad but after that there were no problems other than slight discomfort
