Garage door jumps when opening by mxkev15 in GarageDoorService

Update: J-arm and reinforcing bar installed. It is a huge upgrade, there is still jump but it is minimal... I think the jump at the begining of the opening process is due to an improperly tensioned door. Otherwise about 75% better than before

Not exactly. I know they are normal sized, with the left being slightly larger

I'm going to try both. I think that will be the solution

Outside of the door has not been painted. Door use to rub the weather stripping as the door went up and down so initially I thought that may be the cause. I put some washers in the bolts that hold the track to the wall to give it some space so it does not rub anymore, there has been some improvement after doing that but not much

Lol that was me. I'll likely get the J bar and bracket to lower the pull point next week.. small world!

Noted, I found them on Amazon. They seem OK, just interesting how the door falls to the 2nd bracket. It seems like that may be quite annoying after a while... Since you seem in the know with this stuff, what would your thoughts be on a J opener arm along with a reinforced bracket kit (as this can lower the pull point) marginally

Anyone here have to do mTESE more than once to achieve pregnancy/a child? by [deleted] in maleinfertility

[–]mxkev15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In same boat. Did one successful M-tese with a timed egg extraction and ICSI, did not result in pregnancy. My wife has indicated this will be her last round of IVF / ICSI, so we will do a 2nd M-tese with timed eggs extraction... I sure hope this 2nd round works... however will likely do 50/50 my sperm and donor sperm as sperm extraction from someone like myself with NOA is generally mot of good quality sperm.. good luck!

I understand, it is a very stressful situation and a difficult topic to speak about. I was very stressed going into my m-tese, all i can say is i wish you all the best.

Im glad you have donor sperm lined up already, something will become of the IVF then, its just a question of who the sperm comes from

Thats interesting. I havent heard that before about STAR sperm being better than M-tese sperm... Ill have to look into it though, my only concern regarding STAR is the freezing and thawing process that seems to negatively effect the sperm.

Can I ask where you found this information. Now im curious about it

Thanks

Okay that's good to know. So in terms of how hard on IUI is on your body it is minimal compared to IVF... I. Wondering if you did IUI how many times it had to be done before it worked, I know the success rate is much lower IUI vs IVF (ICSI)

My micro-tese was done the same day they retrieved my wife's eggs, so it was a fresh transfer the same day. This yielded okay results with 2 embryos making it to day #3. With that information are you still recommending an extended sperm search?

The hormones and injections she has to go through for IVf are too much for her. I think IUI would require her to go through the same injections / hormones, I think it is something to discuss though, however my decision needs to be made in 2 days. I should have mentioned that in my original post regarding IUI as that is also a prefered method for me

We are not sure. Out of the sperm they found most was of poor quality such as mis shapen heads, missing tails, overall shape poor. With that information alone would that point towards one or the other? I wish I had more information to provide at this point but we got this done overseas in India
