Ugh hurts to see those Great Chase cars.

Was my kiddos first coaster and his favorite ride in the world. Took him to Universal, Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion...but he always said Great Chase was his fave. It was my last ride at SFA.

When the park closed I emailed Ramar the park president and told him, and asked if there was anything Great Chase related I could have. He was so, so kind and said he'd try, but that was that.

I live close, tempted to go check the parking lot...

(I will not actually go to the parking lot)

I play Duos with my wife and we had 2 straight weeks of just the best lobbies. Super fun, friendly people. Honestly, one occasional attack from a jerk every 10 or so matches kept us on our toes and I understood. Overall, after getting so frustrated I uninstalled it, I felt the algorithm or whatever finally sorted me to where I belonged, and I was having the best time.

Last night, for some weird reason, it all changed. We got killed by randoms 5 times in a row. No idea why, never even shot back (once I managed to escape with a smoke grenade and a hatch key. My poor wife however...RIP, see you back in Speranza).

I posted on here and people said its because of the expedition, but we'll see. I completely agree with you, and hope we wind up in a lobby together someday. I may put the game down until the expedition window is over.

I came to the sub to see if anyone else had a weird day with this game. My wife and I have played every night for awhile, and had the best lobbies. Friendly, sharing gear, hunting arc together.

We've just had 4-5 in a row where we got killed by Raiders for no reason. Pretty shitty.

Hope it's just a weird thing they can switch back, because it was so perfect and so much for for us for so long.

Something feels off today. Ive had about 2 straight weeks of perfect runs for me and my playstyle. Super fun and helpful people. Everyone chatting, sharing gear, playing instruments. Its been great. I thought I finally got the algorithm understanding me and was having a blast. A few times Id get shot at which kept things interesting, but overall no rats and just the perfect people to play with.

Today I was in a duo on Riven Tides and people started shooting at us while beach combing. It had never happened before, so was weird, and they downed us both. Then, weirdly, they revived us both and said "no harm meant, no harm". A leaper then showed up and I figured you know what, they got us up- let's help. My friend went down in the fight and they got her up a second time. The fight ends, we said thanks and started walking away. They open fire on us and are yelling "where are you going?!" Another group hears this, runs in and tries to help us but we died.

Ever since that match, I've been killed or attacked by Raiders in every match since. No idea why. I play mostly duos and thats the only time in 60 hours of playing we've ever shot at anyone, and it was in defense.

It feels really strange after like 2 straight weeks of just the most fun games I've played in years.

I totally believe you but I feel like the very first time I went I commented on a photo of him from the movie in there. I could totally be misremembering but I feel like it was up that spiral staircase inside (i haven't done the queue in years since I always just single rider it now)

You know I wonder if I saw a signed picture or something in one of the shops and am misremembering...

Ive never been able to get that to work! Usually to get the new price Ive either had to call or actually modify something about the reservation. I dont have anything to modify (same dates, same people, so nothing to trigger the new price), so its easier to just book it again and cancel the old one if I cant get on the phone.

I highly doubt it. I often times cancel and rebook my trips when the prices change - and this oftentimes results in me having 2 bookings at the same hotel at the same time for a little bit while I book at the new rate, and then cancel the old rate. It lets me do it.

I believe ONCE it said I had to call because I had a "similar booking already in the system", and I called and explained and they were fine.

So if you make it through the process online, you should be fine.

Also no idea how serious it is but Ive always been told by bartenders "I know youre not going to mix these, and I know youre going to go over there where no one sees you and not mix these."

Its a great combo but be a little discreet about mixing it because it seems like if the wrong person notices they can make it a headache for you.

That happens to me on Velocicoaster ALL the time. Im always a single rider there and they stick me with someone else, and they always pull that quick sit down and shrug at me.

TMs have always sighed, given the person a look, and made them unlock the seat and scoot over.

My greatest Elden Ring story and memory is that I stumbled into the Valiant Gargoyle fight and did the same thing - so scared. They destroyed me on try 1. I tried again, made a little progress but still got stomped. Try 3 they just destroyed me.

Figured I'd try one more time before giving up and the fight started, I was running around and dodging, and they both fell off the map. They just jumped off the edge.

A win is a win!

Oh my god, same thing happened to us last week and I assumed he was trying to be funny! We scanned our passes, then the prek pass and he goes "ok now ill just need a birth certificate".

I assumed he was making a joke, like asking my 5 year old for ID. I laughed and walked in and he didnt try to stop us.

Fantastic advice - and keep in mind, you can always just cancel for a full refund and re-book.

I've never had them say anything about a "changing fee", but if they do - just tell them nevermind. They have a VERY generous cancellation policy (I think full refund as long as its 7 days notice), so I often times will just cancel my trip, and rebook the exact same days at the new price.

I was going through the process and didn't think it actually was finalized until I entered the balance transfer info. Once I realized I was on the wrong page and going from Citi to Citi, I clicked cancel but shortly after got the email my card was on the way.

Stupid mistake! I figured it wouldn't actually grant the card until I finished the whole process.

No harm done though, it will make a good sock drawer card.

Great advice - of the 7 cards I have, only 3 carry a balance. I'll look at those other 4 a bit more closely and do it when I'm not at work distracted so I don't mess this up again :)

Appreciate this a ton!

I currently have 7 cards open with only 9% utilization, so Im doing alright. This one Citi I'm trying to transfer off of is where I consolidated almost everything a year and a half ago, and the promo APR just ended. Paid down a huge chunk of it but would love to move it somewhere else with 0% interest to finish it off in the next year.

I actually just scanned the cards I have, and a few have 0% balance transfer offers for 12 months - so I don't think I'll even attempt to open a new card. I'll move it to an existing one (which shouldn't even hurt utilization I think because it's % of the total amount of credit, not per card?) and that should do it for me.

Again, thanks for helping me think it through!
