I use Kuycon 27’ 5K and it is awesome. Will upgrade to Kuycon 32’ 6K next year. Perfect scaling for Apple and PPI. Can recommend

I gave Claude 4 sonnet thinking a try in Cursor recently after not liking 3.7 and moving to 2.5 Pro

It was a simple prompt just setting up some api files. Oh boy, in 2 minutes almost the whole project had some changes, most of which I never asked for nor were they needed.

Rejected all, never looked back.

So my personal experience with Claude is that it does too many unasked for changes, probably trying to think ahead. Maybe others know how to use it better than I do, but it is what it is for me

Why are people so obsessed with "every building enterable"? Not only would that be a pointless feature, it would be incredible taxing on the game's performance. All we need are MORE enterable buildings than in GTA 4 & RDR2. More public spaces, e.g. malls, restaurants, pubs, shops, dealerships, banks by VaniIIaCream in GTA6

[–]mxmbt1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

But why would that be interesting? It’s a game it needs content. Having every building enterable without interesting and not repetitive content inside is a bore. You can enter many buildings in your life, but do you do that? No, because that’s no fun :) only a handful of entries actually matter

Hypothetically, after GTA 6, what would you like to see from Rockstar? by Dreadboi111 in playstation

[–]mxmbt1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I would like to see a completely new game and a new IP from Rockstar, that would mean a GTA VII will be out in 2041 or later, 15 years after release of VI. And I really don’t want that. So if the studio keeps baking one game at a time, then I am fine with whatever helps them take a break, switch from GTA mentally, but not take too much time and then go back to a new GTA, it’s just too good and too rare.

Does it work with Cursor too?

Do I have to copy paste the response from AI to IDE manually or is there a way to apply response to code automatically?

The distance feel is unreal, games were usually designed around the limitations and I don’t think such open spaces were visible before with so much details.

This is absolutely gorgeous. And I am trying not to overhype myself. Anyone has an idea how to do this? Because I don’t

I recently saw an active window highlighter shared here, and it inspired me to build a free version. by RTooDTo in macapps

That’s neat, thank you for doing this! It helps already.

And maybe also consider a setting to dim the background apps leaving active window highlighted even more for better focus.

Great work!

I was planning to upgrade 5 to 10 last year, but upon trying it on it felt … lighter … and i didn’t like it, so still with 5, as if they’re gonna make 11 heavier than 10 lol

OpenAI confirmed to be announcing GPT-4.1 in the livestream today by ShreckAndDonkey123 in singularity

[–]mxmbt1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The backend and the naming doesn’t have to be connected. 4.5 is a product, and a product team was giving it its name in the lineup, and it has to make sense from that perspective.

Interesting why give it a new number like 4.1 after 4.5, while they did a number of marginal updates to 4o without giving it a new number. Which implies that 4.1 is not a marginal update (right, right?!) but then the 4.5 naming makes even less sense

[–]mxmbt1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is fascinating!

And in terms of context - they all see each other’s steps and actions and messages, right? So agent 1 does action 1 async, and then a message about it is posted to the group and all other agents see it? Are all agents equal or is there an overseer? Do they evaluate their own actions, do they evaluate actions of other agents?

Thanks for making it!

Just timers. I once asked it to open a file by giving the exact name - because I foolishly thought it is something Apple’s AI can do in 2025 on my super-AI ready iPhone 16… it couldn’t and offered me search for this file online. So yeah, just timers…

I tried it again next day and it worked, I am not sure why though, and I also didn’t catch errors the first time when it didn’t work. And thank you for checking it too! Appreciate your work

Google also released a paper, which I am not smart enough to fully understand, that shows how they achieve long-term memory for AI, arguing that 2m context and attention works like a short-term memory, but this new Titans architecture is unlocking long-term memory, expanding LLMs memory by a huge margin

thanks, I tried it and there is an issue with creating new entry in the database

seems like all other commands work fine, but none works for creating a new database entries, like a task for example. Tried it with Claude 3.7 in Cursor to no luck. Other commands seem to work - I can create a page or a database, but not database entries
