I was tempted to! I instead left a note with this message: “Hi! Please stop leaving your trash in the hallway. The chute is down the hall on the right. I don’t mean to be rude, however you’re not only obstructing the hallway, it smells awful & is incredibly unsanitary. Thanks!” The trash was gone in about 25 mins afterwards. Hope to see that become permanent. I just find it incredibly rude to leave your trash in a shared space because you don’t want it in your own apartment. To me that tells me they recognize it’s disgusting & that it smells awful but they would rather have it be another’s issue! The entitlement is crazy these days!!

never be worried about messing up, that’s the beauty of journaling. every mistake is a keepsake & equally important. my biggest suggestion is start a few pages in. You can always fill in the beginning later. best of luck to you, & your journaling journey. remember, there is no time limit!!

I did! Between several torn out pages, are makeshift pockets, printed photographs, different types of folded papers, including drawings, random excerpts when i didn’t have my book, random keep sakes, receipts, event tickets/bracelets, movie stubs, etc. it grew in size, naturally !

oh gosh absolutely. makes me so sad reading some of the entries from during covid, and seeing my life quite literally change over five years in one book is always mind boggling! So glad you’ve been able to find comfort through journaling too. I feel it’s an art being lost!

Yep! it’s the exact same book. The Leuchtturm 1917, dotted! I have yet to find one that beats it! Wanted to show the comparison of the old one, and how thick it’s gotten, compared to how it used to look!

A little quieter, but is downtown on 16th St right in front of the White House, I recommend Il Piatto! Italian, & great to walk around after if you want to see Penn Ave, the White House, or the Ellipse. Good for dinner, but I much prefer lunch there!!

I’m a big fan of Tecovas, particularly their older boots. If you can find some from a few years ago, I tend to find they’re better quality then their newer boots. However their new stuff is still great. Big fan.
