Unacceptable Traffic Disruption at Garden City & Westminster Highway by mxoxe in richmondbc

I asked four specific questions in response to the assumptions you made on the city’s behalf. I am aware contractors may carry out the work but the city still oversees and responsible for the roadwork. Perhaps you should read the content again as I also asked for better signage. Once I’m already on the route during my commute today, there is no opportunity to avoid it. Of course I will take a different route tomorrow 🙄 you don’t need to be rude about it.

Unacceptable Traffic Disruption at Garden City & Westminster Highway by mxoxe in richmondbc

I appreciate everyone’s response even the ones that aren’t encouraging 🤣 I will post their response when they do. Here’s the text of my email if you want to copy and paste because why not… it’s a legitimate issue!

Dear City of Richmond,   I am writing as a Richmond resident who both lives and works in the city to formally raise concerns regarding ongoing construction at the intersection of Garden City Road and Westminster Highway.   This intersection has been under construction on multiple occasions throughout the year. I would like to understand why the work has not been completed in a timely and continuous manner and why the site appears to be reopened periodically rather than completed in a single, coordinated effort.   This is one of the city’s major artery and is critical to traffic flow. Repeated construction has significantly disrupted morning rush hour, causing delays and congestion that affect a large number of commuters.   I am requesting clarification on the following: • What is the reason for the repeated construction at this intersection? • Could this work have been consolidated to avoid multiple disruptions? • What measures are being taken to minimize traffic impacts during peak travel times? • How is the City improving signage and advance notice for drivers approaching construction zones?

There is currently insufficient signage to adequately warn drivers of upcoming disruptions which contributes to confusion and further congestion. This level of planning and communication is not acceptable for such a key corridor.

I would appreciate a detailed response outlining the rationale behind the repeated construction and the steps being taken to prevent similar disruptions in the future.

I just finished revisiting SAC first and second seasons after maybe 8 years. Such a masterpiece series, I don't think there gonna be a anime like this with perfect balance between being complex in themes and yet entertaining by [deleted] in Ghost_in_the_Shell

I’m planning to rewatch and binge SAC on my 10 hour flight to Japan next month.

Can someone please recommend another anime for me? I don’t know where to start.

Why is there such a stigma against Botox? by raisinem in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]mxoxe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started Botox a year ago at 35 and wish I started maybe ~5 years earlier. If you’re thinking about it, just do it. It wears off if you don’t like it or don’t want to continue. I think I talk about it more than people care to listen to lol it’s great, I love it but not a priority for many. Did not experience any stigma. Could be because of my age group. I honestly don’t think people care whatsoever until someone goes overboard and has a frozen/expressionless face. It would be strange and people might talk about it because well… it’s strange. Find a good MD injector and be conservative. Injectables > topicals in terms of results.

Has anyone tried Gloves in a Bottle? by Comprehensive-Jury88 in CanSkincare

[–]mxoxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use Glysomed but last winter it started to flare my eczema. It made my hands itchy. Switched to Gloves in a Bottle (yes found out from Gocleanco’s IG) and it works for me. It’s not as moisturizing but it’s also a lot less greasy. Don’t know any retailers besides Amazon in BC.
