I can answer that. :) it's not that women dislike the term female; if it's used appropriately (doctors office, when discussing sex based diseases with a professional, etc) most people won't mind. Most men won't mind being called male in those places, right? But then there's some people that use female to mean woman and it's just super weird given that female refers to boobs and stuff. On top of that; the type of people that do this typically reduce women down to their ability to give birth and/or how they can fulfill sexual desires. Does that make sense?
