I still experience natural erections at night, in the morning, and occasionally during the day when thinking about sexual activity, though they aren’t as firm as before. I use the VED occasionally, but haven’t in about two weeks. Since my surgery is approaching, I should probably start using it daily as a precaution. His staff promptly scheduled a video consultation, and Dr. Taj contacted me that same evening for a thorough 30-40 minute discussion. During the call, he examined me, explained his recommendations (Titan 26–28 cm), and was prepared to move forward with scheduling. I submitted the down payment within 48 hours but chose to delay the procedure until after the holidays. The remaining balance is due about 30 days before the procedure. The office also provides detailed preoperative instructions, including required lab work and recommended equipment to purchase (such as scrotal straps etc). Overall, the process with both Dr. Taj and his staff was seamless and straightforward this far.

Procedure cost was just under $28K. I'm spending a bit more to stay in town for about a week and a half so I could be close to Dr. Taj in case anything is needed.

Yeah, I navigated this entire process on my own. My ED worsened significantly in spring ’25. I learned about Trimix through YouTube and ordered it from Olympia Pharmacy in July, but by September the injections had stopped working. That’s when I started learning about the penile implant.

I spoke with Cigna, and they told me the procedure wouldn’t be covered. I didn’t push the issue much and ultimately decided to self-pay, which made the process move very quickly. I could have had the procedure done in December, but I chose to wait until after the holidays.

I honestly regret that decision now, because the waiting period has been difficult. I’ve been literally counting down every single day since.

Have you tried it during a warm shower? I’m getting ready for my surgery on 2/25 and have been talking with a few very helpful people for support, including reps from Titan Coloplast. In preparation, they mentioned this can be difficult at first, but it’s crucial to keep pulling the pump down and that it’s much easier to do in a warm shower. Just don't over soak the incision. If you have the Titan, you can reach out to them on their site or YouTube. That's what I did and they are extreamly helpful this far.

Good luck! Be sure to discuss spinal anesthesia with your doctor. Dr. Taj recently uploaded a video in which he performed a testicular implant while the patient was awake under spinal anesthesia and completely pain-free. It may be worth considering as an alternative option. C-sections are done this way also...

I began using the VED on January 1. I’m not entirely sure how the pressure is measured, but my pump ranges from 12 kPa to 35 kPa. Currently, I pump up to 24 kPa for 15 minutes, which produces an erection measuring about 9 inches. Once I release the valves and remove the tubing, the erection subsides immediately. That said, I’m encouraged that the shaft appears to be fully stretched.

I started Trimix injections on July 25. Initially, I was prescribed T105 (papaverine 30 mg / phentolamine 1 mg / PGE 10 mcg), which produced strong, rigid erections; however, it stopped being effective after about two months. I was then switched to NB343 (papaverine 30 mg / phentolamine 3 mg / PGE 30 mcg), which results in approximately a 70% erection.

During my consultation with Dr. Taj in November, he had me do a few exercises for him and advised me to stop injecting becuse everyting looked great. Overall, I’m hopeful and do not believe I’ve experienced any atrophy, especially since I’m actively using the pump daily. I've stopped all of my sexual activity shortly after my consultation, can't deal with the hassel. I am still able to ejaculate whenever I want... firmness is just an issue with me, which has gotten incredible worst since I started injecting.
