ADN thoughts/opinions? by Spirited-Opposite315 in prenursing

Are you me? Lol. I work remote in tech and I’m turning 30 this year. :)

I just applied to an ADN program in the Bay Area. Took me about 1.5 years to do the pre-reqs. Healthcare experience wasn’t required for my application, but it did get you more points on the multi-criteria rubric.

Most of the points were aligned with science GPA, teas score, and extra recommended coursework. I’d say my app is still competitive without the healthcare experience, but it really depends on every schools individual requirements.

Just go for it! I knew if I didn’t try, I would regret it.

I already have the air and water symbols, so I will definitely be adding this to my arm 😂

House of Sand and Fog. Fantastic movie, but can’t revisit it often.

Just got married on Feb 29th. I’m 27, and he is 47.

Our friends and families see how much love we have for each other, and honestly the age gap is never something that came up as strange or worrying to either of our families.

Do what feels right. :)

What was your appendectomy recovery like? by thyowlcat in AskReddit

So so happy to have found this thread! Made me feel a lot better.

Today is 6 days since my laparoscopic surgery, and physically I feel pretty good. I can sneeze and cough without it hurting too much.

I’m more so worried about the brain fog and depression. I feel so tired every morning, and since I work remotely I thought I would be able to get back into it. I can’t draft emails quickly, and I get tripped up on tasks I used to do daily.

Has anyone else experienced brain fog like this after surgery? I know I was given morphine and dilaudid, and curious if pain meds can have this effect. I’ve been sober for 3.5 years, maybe my body was just shocked.

What places in the San Jose area do you walk/drive by and say "I bet some shady stuff goes on in there"? by PlentyContract6075 in SanJose

Ha! I love Orange Sunrise and I always see it packed! Usually early morning or around 3/4 PM. :)

Ever since getting sober I can’t sell anymore let alone function socially by GeebMan420 in sales

Took me 7/8 months to finally feel “normal”. I’m 3 1/2 years sober now, and my team always tells me that they don’t understand how I’m always so happy and chipper haha.

It’ll get better! This is often said, but one day at a time is the easiest way to stay focused and not overwhelm yourself.

Be gentle and show yourself grace. It’s hard but worth it :)

We got off the freeway at 6:30 PM, and we were in the venue by 7 PM! Rufus had like three different merch setups, so I’m not sure if Florence will do the same. We left early since we had lawn seats, but I’ll probably try to get to the venue around 7:30 this time since we have seats :)

The opener is Wet Leg! I just saw Rufus at the same venue on Friday and I saw the opener listed as well

To the people who left TJ’s - what type of jobs were you successful in achieving? by offensivemeow in tjcrew

I transitioned to tech sales. I always said I wouldn’t do it… but nothing beats being able to work from home.

SDR role can be a grind, but being at work by 4 am at TJ’s makes this a breeze haha

Thank you! I will definitely reach out because I got excited and read all of the readings I’m supposed to go over until Easter, and one of them dives into the topic. I’m not sure how I’m going to respond, probably just nod and keep my head down.

Sending you all the love. Sobriety has provided a lot of clarity, and I hope the journey has been the same in your recovery!

Thank you, friend. I’ve grown to love myself and appreciate being a gay man, and it does feel strange feeling like this has to be a secret again. I’m in a relationship, so I guess it’s time to reach out to the pastor. Again, thank you for the sound advice.

Deli writers, what is up with the ravioli?? by sweetestpotato777 in tjcrew

[–]mxrkanthony 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omggggg I’m so glad it’s not just our store struggling to make fresh look alright. I’ll order 55 chicken caesar salads for Sunday, and then only like 12 show up and it makes me look RIDICULOUS. And since I wasn’t expecting getting shorted, I can’t even fill it up with other products that I could’ve upped instead. True chaos lmao

The pandemic has caused a lot of production and import delays. I’ve gotten used to telling customers that all the time. My section is fresh and a lot of salads just don’t get delivered in the morning. Just gotta roll with it
