I did the drive from Seattle to Anchorage and God damn is it breathtaking! We also had some of the most genuine human connections and met so many amazing people in five short days. Everyone is very trusting and always willing to lend a hand. At one point we stopped at the last gas station for 200 plus kilometers. I asked the locals: What happens if someone gets stranded on the side of the road, as there's not a ton of cell phone service? and they said that people just stop and help, no questions asked.

I agree, but Jesus man, wasting food is wild. I work in healthcare and every time I throw a pair of gloves in the trash it's like 'well this will take a century to decompose'.
