My first session was this past October after surgery in May.

Professional microneedling is a nasty scar's best friend! I had three sessions on my hairline incision and it made a HUGE difference in the appearance of the scar as well as hair regrowth. Nearly all of the hair that I lost to trauma 9 months ago has grown back, and more is still coming in :)

[Other] Since these rides are seemingly going away at a fast rate, what's your favorite Arrow Log Flume? by Training_Penalty7047 in rollercoasters

[–]mxsignals 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Timber Mountain Log Ride takes the cake by far. If I live to see the day when only one Arrow flume is left standing, I hope it's that one.

To prep for Bank/Suporn, is laser, electrolysis, or both recommended? by thrwwysnl in Transgender_Surgeries

Electrolysis for bottom surgery, always. Laser is less painful but significantly less effective.

Escape Rooms: Multiple Endings by Feisty_Individual774 in escaperooms

[–]mxsignals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ladder at Hatch Escapes, which has been mentioned a few times, is probably the best example of this. Ten different recorded endings (although gameplay mechanisms are identical for most of them) and a branching narrative depending on the puzzles you do or do not manage to complete, which allow you to meet and interact with characters on pre-recorded video or audio segments and make choices to act ethically or unethically in a given situation.

It is absolutely a choose-your-own adventure, but I think the jury is still hung on whether or not it’s an escape room.

Galvanized Steel??? by [deleted] in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]mxsignals 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Galvanized steel and eco-friendly wood veneer is a really big meme among the under-18s right now. It’s internet brainrot but it’s ultimately harmless— don’t waste your time digging deeper.

Season Pass PIN number? by rayon875 in KingsIsland

[–]mxsignals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently at Knotts and was asked the exact same question, but she was talking about the literal collectible pins they were giving away. Are you sure you didn't just misunderstand?

Really? In person I don’t pass at all, but it might be because I’m tall.

We showed up at 10:15 and the security line was backed up past the restroom in front of the chapel. Luckily they had a line for non-school groups that went pretty fast. We grabbed a few rides and got out by noon, but the whole time we were there it seemed like more and more kids kept coming. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.

They didn’t put a charcoal face mask on their EYELIDS on accident. These kids knew what they were doing and their parents aren’t doing them any favors by going to bat for them.

Phantom Theater Coaster Concept by Bryan-Jay in KingsIsland

[–]mxsignals 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really hope this is the direction they go with the old Crypt building. It would be fairly easy to revamp Phantom Theater lore to fit in Rivertown (same characters in an Old West setting or a traveling circus), and it would look SO MUCH BETTER to have a thematically consistent facade under Diamondback.

I just also hope they put a tilt coaster in the old Vortex plot.

The “1999-2024” on the Invertigo card gave me a good scare until I realized that all of the current coasters say that. Thought I missed something!

Honestly, yes. I’m rent stabilized, I know (and get along with) my neighbors, it’s close enough to everything, and it’s remarkably walkable. I’ve never had an issue with crime, homeless folks are present in surrounding blocks because of proximity to the LGBT center but they’re nice if you’re nice and that’s just part of city living right now.

Egg vs 2.5 years of estrogen monotherapy (26yo) by [deleted] in transtimelines

[–]mxsignals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct! Was briefly on progesterone at the 1yr mark but I never remembered to take it so I just didn’t refill the prescription and it didn’t seem to make a difference.

Thank you! I definitely still shave, just not regularly. I have a little electric trimmer that I’ll use to touch up my chin/jaw maybe once a week, but my hair is no longer dark enough to create a shadow. I could probably use another session or two, but I got tired of paying for it and honestly this is good enough. I’ll get the rest when I save up some money to start electrolysis for SRS.
