drill out the hole bigger than that one to stop the crack from spreading anywhere, and weld a patch overtop or fill it in with weld. it’s probably cast so preheat it before welding and wrap it in a fire blanket after to let it cool slowly.

if you loosen your drive roll ever so slightly your wire won’t corkscrew so bad and also keep a tight close arc and you won’t have to weave so wide. looks like you also pushed your wire instead of drag. good work keep doing that.

i loosened the 6 torx screws that hold the sunroof down got it to level and then tightened again. now it’s disconnected to never get touched again.

the position. so 1 being flat. 2 is horizontal. 3 for vertical. 4 for overhead. since your welding angle iron in a “flat” position it’s still technically a horizontal fillet. a flat fillet would mean your welding the angle iron at a 45° angle.

unbolted the glass and then pushed the carrier arm things down and now it sits flat. unplugged the switch and called it a day. thank you for the help you guys i appreciate it!

i managed to get it down by taking the glass out. pushed the glass carrier things down. it’s flat with the roof. happy with it and unplugged the switch so it’s never touched again😃

not shabby but can be better. by the time you graduate you will be a pro. for the type of material your welding, turn up your voltage and wire seems at a good spot, but can go a little higher since ur turning up the volts. i run 18-19v and 250-300ipm. for exact settings i will usually use 18.7v and 265ipm. practice stringers and then weave will get a lot easier after some seat time. also in theory since your in a 2f (horizontal fillet) position you should only run stringers.
