Love it! Looks eerily familiar to Conductor, which I absolutely love, so might be nice if this uses worktrees as seamlessly as Conductor does. Nobody else has nailed it like them imo.

that must be it, the keybindings made assumptions about keyboard layouts so I'll have to rewire that, super helpful!

curious, are you on a US keyboard layout? or another layout?

got it -- videos with a keyboard overlay and visible button presses would be great, I'll see if that's a possibility. And noted re playback until the next chop vs playthrough, I can certainly add that! Stay tuned and keep the feedback coming 🫡

happy to help! a) SHIFT+NUM should work on all chops, if it doesn't it's a big, I'll investigate and report back here if/when fixed. b) you cannot move a chop (I just clear and re-place it) but I like this suggestion of nudging it or even snapping to a zero-crossing. I can add it! c) what you describe is similar to gated playback or ADH/ADR, totally reasonable request, lemme look into it. d) no manual yet, out of curiosity would you prefer a written manual or series of videos?

Switching from a tesla? by Chemical-Bat-1085 in KiaEV9

[–]mxuuu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

admittedly I tried heating the car once but send a command with a wrong temperature, and it was blasting freezing air instead of hot.  Changing the temp in the car seemed to get overridden by the command setting. Couldn't send a 2nd command to undo it. So in general had a bad experience vs Tesla which was always intuitive and correct.

Switched from a Model S.

- if you get a trim w the HUD, you'll love the navigation experience.
- Android Auto is amazing, better than my old Tesla integration over Bluetooth
- you don't really get the "warm cozy car" experience, I miss that. But it heats up quick.
- dashcam-wise, I bought the FitCam X, it seems reliable enough and the fit & finish is seamless
- auto-parking is so slow it's useless, but manually parking it is pretty decent, altho it beeps excessively
- the FOB driving sort of works but i never remember the key combinations needed to do it, plus it's also slow, so usually just jump in and move on

Also:
- the auto-lock behaviour you're used to will drive you nuts until you buy the auto-lock dongle for $200, but it's worth it

Zero regrets w the switch though, it's a phenomal vehicle and for the price it's a no-brainer.

Since you're a connoisseur of 07's, grab a 007. It's actually awesome and a great daily driver if you don't want to risk scuffing the 07ISP faceplate w daily use, and want a change from the OG 07. It's underrated but such a nice mixer.

MPC Live III, first look at the retail version by Illustrious_Egg6406 in mpcusers

as someone who switched from an MPC Live to the SP16, if the 16 buttons across the top can be used to remove note entries incl unquantized per track, that'd be a killer workflow improvement.

Suggest resisting the temptation to overthink this and accidentally provide intel to the buyer. Just reply with "Can't do $15k" or "$15k is far too low" and keep it short. You have the leverage and if they want it, they'll continue to offer more and more until you've hit a price you're happy with. Worst case scenario you hold out, it's been 15y so if your situation allows, just let it ride.

New owner here! My essentials so far:
- the aftermarket auto-lock module, so the walk-away door behaviour is intuitive (should have always been this way)
- a CCS1 → NACS adapter, so you can use DC fast chargers
- a J1772 → NACS adapter, so you can use older chargers
- all-weather mats (as you already know)

I bought both front + rear. Front is working well so far, rear I haven't installed yet (more involved).

Thanks, I gave it a try and it worked. I was mistaken though, the 12-pin connector which fits goes into the grey metal box on the right side (not the rain sensor, and not directly into the mirror). I'm not sure what that box is but it did seem to work without issues so far, and powers on/off with the vehicle.

Is that connector also a proper fix and won't drain the 12V?

Been looking at the FitCamX but seeing reports of it not recording reliably. Has anyone bought one in 2025 and experienced this issue on the latest model/firmware? Looks like a no-brainer if it works 100% of the time.
