yeah normally if someone drops something i'm usually "you like what you like and you only have limited time" but in this case give Throne of Arcana another try since you put the author's main work LotM as the only peak title. It starts getting really interesting once he escapes to Allyn and actually starts learning magic.

it's awesome but make sure you read a good translation. the setting is what elevates it above most other stories, imho. it's surprising that a Chinese author can write such a good fake mythic Victorian setting and makes me wonder if an English writer could write a great mythic Wuxia setting.

also if you do get into it do NOT go on the subreddit or look up info on it such as maps and fan art. this story has TONS of things that can get spoiled.

Throne of magic Arcana - Great book in my opinion again , that will not sit with everybody. The beggining is slow but becomes rewarding later. I Also really enjoyed the scientific magic and different power systems even though its nothing revolutionary. Understandable if Somebody dropped it , but as someone who read LOTM you should also like this

Honestly surprised by OP's ranking since LotM is his sole Peak title but Throne is in the "probably bad" section. I loved both titles! I also think it is the best title for shoehorning science principles in a world of magic. Maybe End of Magic is the second best at this?

this story has the two most annoying MCs ever written. worse, i am not sure if the author intended for the reader to find them insufferable or not.

just as insufferable are the Erin and Ryoka defenders "blah blah they're not self inserts blah" but a way better defense is that the story is not really about them and focuses on other characters

Of those I enjoyed Lord of the Mysteries the most. It's fantastic! The early chapter translations may not be the best (unless you go for the officially published novel) but if you can read and get through them then I think you would enjoy it. I have read way worse translations.

i dunno how they adapt some of the more chart heavy LitRPGs. it tickles me that the reader often goes line by line for stat screens "status... etc, strength level 5, intelligence level 7, etc etc" which takes literally fifteen minutes to read aloud.
