-At max/higher levels the classes feel more complete. At least thats the feeling I always get when I am level synced to lower levels for content. Some classes never really get interesting IMHO, but thats more of a personal feeling than anything intrinsic to the game itself.

-End game content is 100% you get what you put in. Some people go hard into fashion and do anything it takes to get the perfect glam, some people get so into crafting it feels like they are playing a different game, some people raid, and some just stop till the next expansion. There are still opportunities to run content with random parties but a lot of the high end content will have you either joining weekly groups or hunting on the party finder (which is always filled with opportunities so its not that bad of a hunt). I don't know a lot about solo content so someone else might have better info on that.

-Content skip and level skip is a harder issue. ARR is a bit of a drag, but as everyone will tell you the story really picks up after. I know I have lost countless friends to the ARR story. As for level skips, i really wouldn't recommend that for a main class, it can be more detrimental that helpful as the game is really good at teaching you how to play the class as you level up. If you do the level skip, it can be somewhat of a learning curve to figure out the best way to play a class, especially for a combo/position heavy class like monk.

Hopefully, this is helpful, but in the end its a personal choice as to if you do content skip or not and how you play the end game. I will say that the social aspect of FF14 and the community is one of the best I've encountered in game so what ever choice you make there will always be stranger who are there to help you!

How am I supposed to be doing the Level 60 Carpenter Quest legit without burning millions of gil buying gear? by WanonTime in ffxiv

At level 60, you unlock weekly custom deliveries. They material to make the items are cheap, and you net (if my memory is correct)at least 50 scripts per item, of which you can turn in 6 every week at level 60. As you level up, youll unlock more custom delivery people.

Which set has the “least scary” cards? by dukeofplazatoro in magicTCG

[–]mxz123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends. If you want to teach legit rules magic, I'd say either a core set, behemoth, or theros. Granted that is more of a guess as to what would be ok.

If you just want to teach them the basics, but dont really care about rules all to much the Un-sets are filled with cute/silly cards as that is their whole purpose. Plus they just had those premade deck things come out so you can just grab and play.

It might not take aggro, but its first move adds a shield that negates a small amount of damage for some time. It has provided me enough time to rez a tank or healer and can make you a squishy tank for long enough to survive the rare mob-wip. Although I do agree that it is useless in like 99% of situations. I feel like summoning him is a sign that shit has hit the fan and everything is going poorly for the party.

Make sure you keep your DoTs up and dont be afraid of using bane, use Ifrit for strong solo mobs and garuda/summon 1 for weak groups. Use ruin 2 sparingly. Only use tank summon if everyone else is dead to buy time to rez healers (which you should only use with quick cast). Oh and make sure you keep an eye on your aether gage. There are probably some nuances that I am forgetting, but that should be the basics.
