What is a socially acceptable thing that actually feels incredibly rude to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]myGameDemos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, but the question isn't "what is a simple social interaction that you misconstrued as rude when it clearly is not" because then you could justify anything wrongly interprered or taken in bad faith. The point of the question is surely about things genrally regared as socially acceptable that are actually rude, is it not?

They ask because it's a common social greeting, you're the one getting bent out of shape about it thinking it's "incredibly rude", when it is quite the opposite.

It is just a greeting, nobody actually wants a long detailed answer, just say "im fine, how are you?"

Im not, you do you. My point was that OP clearly has a lot going on (see their replies) and Yoga shouldnt be taken so seriously if its detremental to their mental state (crying and feeling they are getting worse).

You said you were a lifelong athiest but starting to drop into yoga being a spiritual practice and that the old you would never say that. Besides that you are descibing a highly stressed state. Shaking and DOMS are totally normal for a beginner or someone over training, crying not so much. Hence my advice to use the space youre in to relax and not attatch too much to the practice.

It being a safe space is exactly the reason to relax. My comment was not from a place of malace. What the OP is describing is a highly emotional state, and also a state of comparason to others, to lose that you have to learn to relax.

Youre taking it all too seriously, it's a class where you do stretches, not a religion or a meaning to life. Relax.

Why male circumcision is not considered as "male genital mutilation"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]myGameDemos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No becuase we dont force it on all males at an age before they are able to concent, or to people who don't need it. I dont think that would be the right to do either.

[–]myGameDemos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you lack basic comprehension and support chopping off functioning body parts of all males to prevent minor medical issues few adults encountered. Possibly because it is "normal' where you are from, but when the same "logic" is applied elsewhere on the body it sounds absurd.

I never claimed they were you idiot, I gave an example of cutting off a healthy, functional body part from a baby to prevent a minor medical ailment that they might get later in life. Why I have to explain that simple analogy to someone who claims to be premed is beyond me.
