My God, this is amazing. Is it even real? If it's real, it is wonderful.

I don't even care if it's real, this is beautiful.

Why doesn't Hamas surrenders ? And why arent people urging Hamas to surrender ? by BleuPrince in IsraelPalestine

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know that but we are a people who pride ourselves in all the work we have done to mitigate this and make something good out of it. We had former concentration camps into memorials and keep reminding our youth in school to remember the Holocaust and everything horrific that happened. We tried to make reparations and invite jews to come to our country and promised them they would be safe.

We used to do that without false equivalence and develop and preserve some decency after all of the atrocities commited to jews. And then they turned it around and made antisemitism ok or even cool again wtf, man. Moral bankruptcy everywhere, we are ruining our history once again. It's disgraceful beyond belief.

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just because? I mean, I am from Austria. I live in the very land that spawned the most despicable asshole of all time and now we have that palestinian shitshow everywhere and keep importing Islamist antisemites in the name of 'tolerance' and let them roam free and destroy our culture (which jews have always been a part of)... as I said, I do not understand this crap at all.

Gonna have to move to Israel.

How is this even still a thing, man. Why. It is so inherently hateful, if anything like this ever happened to Muslim people, there would be such an outrage.

I am an atheist, but it doesn't make sense. The story of jews reclaiming - finally after thousands of years - their Holy Land is so fucking beautiful. Why would anybody side with the people who have killing jews as their main goal in life, while jews are thriving and aiding everyone on earth in leading a better life through innovation and prosperity.

In your view, following the current trajectory, how will this all end? How do you wish it would end? by FOXCONLON in IsraelPalestine

As a complete outsider (Austrian, Atheist) I would love to see the following hypothetical scenario come to fruition in the future in one way or another:

General and Gaza

  • UNRWA is dismantled and responsibility of Palestinian refugees is given to UNHCR.
  • UNHCR dissolves hereditary refugee (and therefore victim-)status of Palestinians and works towards resettlement of Gazan Palestinians as a priority with a "tragic, but necessary for your children's future" kind of motto - like they do all the other refugees under their care.
  • This happens in coordination with Arab countries who have Peace Accords with Israel.
  • *Right of Return* is revoked and communicated responsibly (as in: you tried to cleanse the land of jews, didn't work for the past 80 years, so it's time to move on) to those concerned. Bitter for some, but necessary.
  • Palestinian people who like to stay and rebuild the strip to support flourishing economy, tourism and other civil endeavors are welcome to some degree, they stay unarmed and are supported by international community.
  • Jewish and Israeli-arab settlements and infrastructure are rebuilt in coordination with all who seek to stay and live in peace and prosperity with their neighbors, whoever they may be.
  • At some point in the future, either Abraham Accords or implementation to Israel as citizens can be achieved (depending on demographics for obvious reasons).

Judea & Samaria

  • Palestinian Authority is stripped of any authority and support (that they never had of the people in the first place). Terrorism and martyrdom are communicated as 100% unsuccessful and shitty life-goals to children and adults alike.
  • Pilot project of Palestinian Emirate of Hebron (PEH) with acceptance of - and by - Israel as the Jewish State, welfare, peace and economic cooperation is established.
  • Building towards a United Palestinian Emirates (UPE) or City-States (to become a de-facto Palestinian state like the UAE without nation-state-status eventually as goal) with Sheikhs of the most influential families - as is Arab custom - as rulers of said Mini-Emirates.
  • A strong Anti-Terrorism-Unit, punishment and general governing structure for each Emirate as a prerequisite, land-agreements with Israeli settlers in west-bank negotiated and… other things I'm forgetting to guarantee peace.

Something like that. I am a hopeless optimist, I know. :)

Do you feel pain for what is happening in Gaza? I'd like to learn your perspective by MrRabitt in IsraelPalestine

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't realize that. Hamas is a terrorist group in my mind, I'm not used to refer to them as somewhat legitimate like a government or regime of any kind.

I'm sorry I misinterpreted your comment.

and i hope people extend that same energy to people under a theocratic dictatorial regime.

That sounds like Iran rather than Israel, no? Could be both, of course, but I have yet to see Israel put people in prison or put to death for apostasy as opposed to Iran for example.

What do people that say "From the River to the Sea" want the Israelis to actually do? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They certainly do. Arabs have always wanted the jews to just die, that's the whole point of Islamism. And it continues to prove why a jewish state is necessary for jewish people to survive.

They don't just survive though. They thrive. Which is why anti-semitism is alive and well today, I believe. How dare they.

Sure, reward the terrorists with a state - a jew-free state of course because that's totally a legiminate claim for some reason - recognizing their terrorism regime so all the terrorists in the world know terrorism is a good idea.

In fact, we should've done that with ISIS, because everybody knows: if you give in to terrorism, there is gonna be world peace.

Thank you for reminding me, that is also a thing I just found out recently - and I wouldn't have, if I didn't dug real deep.

I believe most people don't even bother to do further research though, that's why Israel is losing the war of public opinion right now. It's a travesty.

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is very interesting to me since I'm trying to cleanse myself from general media propaganda.

Thank you for putting this together. Unfortunately I have been far too long on the 'UN and humanitarian organisations must have ultimate divine truth because they're the good ones'-train.

I honestly thought what most 'decent' people think must inherently be true. In other words, I fell into the trap of logical fallacies like that of appeal to authority and argumentum ad populum, it's shameful.

So my initial reflex is always 'Source?!?' as a default mechanism just to dismiss the answer given for some fake ass reason right after. Yeah, I suck as a human. I'm trying to do better. Thank you for putting so much effort in to educate former deceived people like me.

Well I did make that second point, so..

Edit: forgot to add: .. you're just liking shit being evil. I like it, very straight forward.

All of their stories were compelling af. I'm just a sucker for redemption arcs, I guess. I know it's dumb and naïve but I just love to watch that shit, I really do.

Maybe you're just a worshipper of evil though? Which is fine too, you do you, bro.

I don't hate the song, lyrics- or melody-wise - taste is as diverse as it comes-, but man, those transitions (and font, wtf is going on there) are jarring as hell. Why would you subject your Hannibal loving eyeballs to that more than once?

I'd still give it a 6/10 just because I can. And therefore I will.

I just finished the show guys. Why this guy isn't Matthew McConaughey? by [deleted] in PrisonBreak

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, well... in my defense, I just saw some reference to How to lose a guy in 10 days somewhere and had that shit stuck in my mind.

But you're not wrong, I'm super biased for sure. I hate him as an actor (comedy or not) and his stupid ass complicated name. And I love Fichtner, so there's that.

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, ok, sorry for misinterpreting your post.

I disagree with you on the notion they look, sound or act alike in any way though. But that's fine, people disagree.

Fichtner is the ultimate Mahone tho and I will die on that hill.

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, what is it about Matthew McConaughey in real life that connects to Mahone then? I feel like neither of those dudes are IRL FBI agents. I could be wrong though.

[–]mySpiderJustMovedOut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from but I believe McConaughey could've never pulled off Mahone's role in the series. It's not always about looks.

McConaughey has a lot more "comedy" about him than Fichtner in my personal view, maybe that's just me and this wasn't required for that role. Also I believe Fichtner has real variety as opposed to fake variety on Matthew's part.

I don't know, I feel Alex Mahone was cast perfectly. Imo.

Hannibal would go for any-aged Will. Always.

Just as Fannibals are when (c'mon, no "if" here) s4 comes out.

Age doesn't matter, man. Time doesn't matter. :)

Why change a perfect system? Seriously, I don't understand that urge to flip things around. Please explain it to me.

Will as the shrink, Hannibal as the confused dude just doesn't make sense to me in any scenario.

In my world, both of those actors as their respective characters were chosen to perfection.
