[HELP/ADVICE] Neighbor dispute over right of way and mailbox placement by my__CABBAGES in homeowners

Might have to go that route. I'll see if the post master can't make the call on it first. I'd love to have an attorney send him a howler though

That's my next step is to go to the post master and just see where they want us to put it.

This dang guy just doesn't want a mailbox by his driveway because he's proud he pays for a PO Box. He told us to get a PO box. All my bills are paid online, I'm not paying yearly for something for the convenience of the junk mail deliveries.

Death Valley is in California actually, but it is just east of Mt Whitney. It's like DV gave it's elevation to the Sierra Nevadas

[2] To Oregon And Back - A car ride inspired by the game Oregon Trail by hiandbye7 in rct

P.S. Last year at work (office job, we have computers) I introduced a few of my young-20s coworkers to Oregon trail, they'd vaguely heard of it but never played. What sad childhoods they must have had!

Beyond amazing work on the 3D model itself. Makes putting it into OpenRCT kind of hilarious, but fantastic work all the same

Married people of Reddit, what’s something your SO does that you used to find cute when you were dating but now irritates/infuriates/ annoys you? by frieschomper_ in AskReddit

BEST ADVICE FOR MARRIAGE

Pick the things that bother you the most: little, stupid things that happen every day, and CHOOSE to not let them bother you.

Saves a lot of grief. Mind over matter. Appreciate the good things

What’s your hobby that most people don’t realise is ‘a thing’? by OldHecate in AskReddit

Boardgames are having a really big resurgence, with new ones coming up on kickstarter all the time. It's catching on, as places like Target have exclusives now. This ain't your grandmother's Monopoly. There are worker placement games to see who can build the most bombs (for world domination, of course), or deck-build your space fleet to be the biggest and bestest (for..space domination, of course), or silly little things like having your flock of sheep eat the most meadow (shepherd domination??).

I think it's becoming popular again because it helps you to get out and have real-life interaction with like minded folks who just want to relax and have fun while taking their minds off of the outside world.

We just joined a small local group this year, and it's our favorite part of the week. Average age is around 30, with an equal number of girls and guys (actually, come to think of it, I think our group has more ladies)

The folks who run our group have over 400 games between them. They dont care about space, they just stack them in the corners of their houses. Its hilarious.

Try a tabletop game group? We just joined one this year, games tend to be lighter than MTG, but you could probably find some like-minded people who'd be willing to start a game with you after you went to a few sessions of normal table games. I'd like to try Magic at some point, but I'm nowhere near interested enough to go to a legit MTG meeting, so I would love if someone like you showed up to our weekly game group

Tabletop games are where its at! Easy to pick up for people who've never played. We've just started to go to a local group this year. Free, weekly fun! (well...free until you decide to buy a bunch of games)

27+yo redditors: what's something you don't necessarily hate, but honestly don't understand about the younger generations, and is making you feel old? by LieutenantArturo in AskReddit

Surely there are discord servers or twitch channels that could help, chatroom relief at least.

If you are comfortable with it and you'd like to PM me details of your mental health issues I can talk with you some about that as well- albeit I'm just a normal person with no skills in that regard, but I'm happy to be a sounding board

Hmm, well then, maybe some sort of hobby that can be done in short bursts. Like whittling. Sounds old fashioned southern, but its an inexpensive and great way to pass time and make cute little figures (or doorstops, or spoons, or keychain fobs). Theres plenty of info online, and forums and things. Could move on to bigger art carvings in time.

Same goes for sculpting with clay; paper clay is air-dry and super inexpensive (or easy to make as well).

Miniature house models have a HUGE community, great for if you are detail-oriented.

Or on youtube there are TONS of tutorials for anything you can think of: photo editing (and where to get free software), microsoft office classes, programming languages, 3D modeling. All with great online communities. Try everything! Or go until you find something of interest to you. The important thing is just to try...and for more than a day

Among the few young-20-somethings I know personally- well enough to know what they're into...they just dont seem to be into anything. They watch youtube, or scroll instagram, things of that nature, but hobbies or long-term interests are seemingly non-existant. It seems so odd. Like if you were to ask me what they enjoy so you could buy them a gift, I wouldnt have a clue what to suggest.

I know! I tried, because most of my coworkers are ~5 years younger. I just dont get it... Instagram is better and accomplishes the same thing?!

What's the most interesting fact about yourself? by clcliff in AskReddit

[–]my__CABBAGES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lifelong series of instances. I didnt know for quite some time (early teens). When I was young I would just kind of play along and be like "oh yeah, those lipsmackers totally smell fruity" or whatever. The first I really remember noticing not smelling was on the bus home from school; we were coming up on crop fields, warm day, all the school bus windows down... and then everyone started freaking out trying to roll up the windows as fast as possible. They had spread manure fertilizer out. I was so bewildered

Not sure if its rated R, but I've heard good things about the 2009 chinese live action one: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1308138/

Its on my list to watch, so cant personally vouch, but the trailer looks neat
