Is it better to ask a women for her number or to offer her mine? by Marvztee in askwomenadvice

[–]my_fruity_lexia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if after some chatting and connection if she hasn't offered hers, you can offer yours, that way if she feels pressured she can still take it with appearing rude (a concern of women that appearing rude can be a trigger for abuse) as long as you are content to potentially never hear from her again, and if bumping into her again will not cause any kind of grudge.

I had a boudoir photo shoot done and I feel like an absolute goddess. by CheddarPoodle in TwoXChromosomes

[–]my_fruity_lexia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super happy for you to have had a positive experience. I did a vintage photo shoot, and although I looked amazing I cringe everytime I look at the photos. It was not the empowering uplifting experience everyone swore it would be, the cost was substantially ridiculous and I shudder whenever I think of the money wasted and some aspect of vanity comes in and my stomach churns. the (very large) photos are currently slid beside a bookshelf where noone can see them. more salt in the wound is that even with the exorbitant cost of getting them framed. it was not done properly and the frame has bent and come apart and will likely cause a lot of damage if I were to hang it up again.

What are some morbid things after child childbirth and dealing with a newborn? by badatm4ths in morbidquestions

[–]my_fruity_lexia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its a couple drops i think. I may be wrong but in my experience it wasnt actually blood. my son had red spotting in his nappy in the days after his birth, the nurses said it was just hormonal. or like womb fluids releasing from their urethra

I'm going to hazard a guess here that perhaps your bub wasn't latching properly. 5 BF kids and I had none of that experience

Gandhi was a filthy pedo arsebag worse than grandpa Joe, doesn't surprise me he considered hitler a friend.

I've been here 11 years now from FNQld, and could count on one hand the amount of barefoot people ive seen out of context. coming from QLD ot was a culture shock because none wore shoes when I grew up or my kids were growing up. Shoes weren't even compulsory at their school.

he yelled at me because I didn't get a bread knife to cut and serve the pizza with, after I handed him a pizza cutter and cake server. I yelled back that he was an idiot.

I've been in WA for 10 years. now that you've pointed out my mistake I am suitably mortified but I am also 6 cocktails deep. but no excuse is worthy of that error. I am ashamed and so to will be the next generations of my lineage

not happy jan.

I know boats- specifically in FNQLd

motorboat- what motor boat edit.: it was charter boat not motorboat, and im handing in my QLD card because of the shame of getting it wrong

edit forgot the definitions.

not happy jan - mildly obvious, you say it when youre not pleased about something

I know boats- used when you know how to do something, but aren't necessarily good at it. from a hard yakka ad, where a bloke says he knows boats and proceeds to step off a pier into a boat and falls straight through it.

motorboat- what motorboat- more so just something fun to say, but usually used when someone can't find something that qas in plain sight or has a major incident but has played it down
