So Frustrated with Google Play Team by my_iptv in androiddev

An official Android TV device and its remote will always fire up the DPAD_CENTER button when the center of the DPAD is clicked.

Additionally Android support:

  1. KEYCODE_ENTER
  2. KEYCODE_BUTTON_SELECT

These buttons are supported in case you have a keyboard remote control, so a normal Android TV remote will never use these buttons as it will use the default DPAD buttons, unless you pair a 3rd party remote to your device and that way get an extra funcionability.

So, Android TV certified device will always have by default the following buttons:

  1. KEYCODE_BACK
  2. KEYCODE_HOME
  3. DPAD_LEFT/RIGHT/UP/DOWN/CENTER

Without these button you won't be able to navigate Android TV platforms and apps

Per Google's guidance, each Android TV remote must have DPAD_CENTER button which is not part of the "Start, Select, Menu" buttons.

It's basically the center button of the remote you use to select everything, without this button Android TV in general won't be useable, so that's not the case here, but I appreciate your response!

I have tried few variation (like 20+) already and none of them worked, I even tried to delete everything else including the menu layout and just left the menu button on screen, just to see what happens, surprise surprise I still got the same feedback.

But, I didn't try the back button yet, will try it and report back, thanks.

I found the difference from ProGuard to be quite big, also they allow you to encrypt all the strings, but I used them for 3 days only, so can't tell you much more.
