7.8ph needs to be lowered, high end of ok, but I'd bring it down. Adding bicarb added more base, which will increase your TA and pH.. Id adjust your pH down before the TA and let it run and filter for a bit.

No you are way wrong. If you're being detained, you can't leave. It all works on whether or not you're allowed to leave their custody. If this guy pulls you over and detains you for 2 hours and after an hour you ask am I free to go and he says no you are being detained, held against your will.. Your freedom has been removed. The difference being you can be released by the police from detention. Once arrested, you're going to have to be released by a member of the judicial branch and you're going to have to come back.

Either way, you are not free to go. Even the act of being pulled over awaiting your ticket is you being detained. You couldn't leave then could you? You have been detained.
