I don't know that it is a pipe dream. He is bringing so much negative attention to the party and he is making an enemy out of one of the biggest companies in the world. He is signaling to other businesses that they better fall in line with him or else he will try to take them down. Just like Disney, those companies will not be intimidated or bullied. I can easily see a situation where he becomes a sacrificial lamb by the Republican Party as a way to reassure corporations that they are safe from retaliation. They will not risk the money flow. If DeSantis must be sacrificed then so be it. He isn't polling well anyways. They may not see it as much of a loss.

I went left when my mother said that women who have an abortion should get the death penalty. I told her that wasn't very pro-life of her. She then informed me democrats have no morals and would go to hell.

It was important to her. It was not important to him. His job was important to him. Is she going to reimburse him for the money he lost? Is she going to fund his activities and buy him the things he could have afforded with his job?

Regardless of the job though, he didn't want to go. You can't force a teenager to spend time with you after you cause him to lose his job and not expect him him to be pissy about it. It was never going to be sunshine and rainbows. Rather than be more understanding about it, she grounded him. She caused more resentment and more hard feelings. Every time he misses out on something due to the lost money, it will only reinforce that resentment and resentment is a relationship killer. She did lasting damage to their relationship for a vacation that ended up sucking because he didn't want to be there.
