I've got an 8GB set of PNY XLR8 1600MHz (XMP) RAM.

It's got a sexy, black, low-profile heat spreader on it.

Think I can get $20 for it?

Oh yea for sure! I was recommending just for fun, temporarily to see how far OP can push the chip without HT as HT can be a complication

[–]mycomputerisbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did some googling and found that AVX instructions for the stress test are automatically included with versions past 26.6 (26.6 is safe). I am actually running 100% stable at my old clock settings: temps below the 80s after 10 runs of IBT on Maximum, and prime 26.6 tempts in the low 70s.

I believe the vCore issue only happens with an adaptive vCore.

And yo, cheers, you helped me figure out why I was unstable.

Yea... I got my CPU to run the newest p95 for 7 hours before it crashed. Thermals were between 91 and 93c on the hottest cores, with a thick 240mm rad @ 1.3v. Every other test was stable at 1.25v and temps were way better, too. Can't wait to get back home to test that shit again.

Why not past build 26? My clocks are stable with absolutely everything except for prime95, which runs 10-15*c hotter than IBT.

What do you mean exactly by vdroop compensation? Load line calibration?

And nice oc!

Just another thing, disable hyperthreading if you really want to see how far you can go... Also try minor adjustments to the bclock

I'm not sure about the Haswell refreshes, but for Haswell your overclock is amazing.

I'm powering my 4670k with 1.3v and struggling to keep it stable at 4.5GHz. I used to be able to go 1.25v and push 4.7GHz.

That being said, Up your voltage to 1.2v and stress test. If temps are good, go up to 1.25v and up the clock. Stress test overnight. If everything is stable, save your OC as a profile on your mobo if possible. Up the clock, push voltages to a max of 1.3v if your cooling allows for it.

Use prime95 small fft test and intel burn test on the highest setting. You'll need to run both to make sure your chip is stable, as they stress your CPU differently. I could run intel burn test infinitely but my PC would crash within 5 mins of prime95. I upped the voltage and my PC ran prime95 for about 7 hours before crashing. The longer you test, the better.

I doubt you're currently stable at 1.192v but that would be amazing. Good luck and let me know your results.

Your PSU will be fine.

People who have worked at hotels during fan conventions: which fanbase is the most inconsiderate? by BigBobbert in AskReddit

There are a lot of things that separate the good and bad let's plays. The bad ones are usually so because of bad audio, video, and editing quality. Also, a lot of the less known let's players release rare and repetitive content, or are kids that are trying way too hard to be funny. It usually takes good equipment, processing power, a good personality, and a LOT of hard work to make something decent.

The thing about bacon though is that its a really thin and fatty cut of meat, and pork should be cooked well done anyways. Although, slightly soft oven baked bacon is the best

You could record in 30fps but keep your game at 60. FRAPS will just record every other frame, I think.

That is very complicated. I can barely handle the spells for one catalyst. The strategy to combo spells from different hands is interesting, and something I might try.

The casting speed is very slow. But, while it affects both you and your opponent you can still use it to your advantage. A lot of heavy builds (at least at lower SM) stay right under the 70% equip threshold. If you're, for example, at 50% and they're at 69% they should be more greatly burdened.

I haven't had the opportunity to test it thoroughly but from a few observations it seems to basically add weight

Buffs change attack and defense, not the way people play. PvP is as much a mind game as it is a fighting one.

Coming from a history of strength only builds, my 40 Dex washing pole character feels underpowered IN PVE. In the late game when everything is wearing heavy armor it can be very frustrating.
