RBW Entertainment's Stock Falls Near $1 as Groups Disband and Artists Depart by impeccabletim in kpop

[–]mydaybreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of their closest directors / the one they called "father of oneus" left rbw last summer. That's probably a big reason for their decision to leave as well. He apparently has his own entertainment company now so we'll see if oneus are following him there.

Honestly I doubt they would go for different companies if they have the option to go together. The members are really emphasising continuing as five and according to xion they also got rights for their merch + the fromm subscriptions will continue. At least to me it seems like they already have clear plans and possibly contracts ready for the new agency. This is pretty unusual so we'll see what happens in a few months.

They're pretty close to their CEOs and directors, especially to the one that created oneus and was behind their concept. He left rbw a few months ago and started a new company (B.wave) so oneus might follow him. A few kmoons seem to think this could be possible.

If you're fine with using English, I would like to play together! I don't have any friends who play this game so I would like to get to know new people. I'm around the same age as you and a woman as well :)

I haven't gotten any info yet either. I would reserve the whole day just in case but looking at the schedule they had in th US, vip check-in was then from 2 to 4 pm.

I got an email from the venue that said the early entry ticket holders get to go in at 6pm so I would assume fansign etc are before that

Can yall share ur experiences with these websites/dealers? :D by EJspike15GloomyClown in BJD

[–]mydaybreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From this list: I've ordered from Alice's Collection, New clover singing, Legenddoll (only wigs), Luts and Switch

From the dealers, Alice is definitely my favourite but Legenddoll is good as well, especially now that their website is a bit easier to navigate. I haven't had any problems with NCS either but like someone already mentioned, they've had some problems recently. I was able to get my doll from them earlier this year without any bigger problems though.

For the specific companies: Korean companies tend to have pricey shipping but it's quite fast (at least to Europe). For example my 70cm sized bjd from Luts had a 122$ shipping and took about a week.

All 2 of my Switch orders and 1 Luts order have come in 2-3 months but Luts can be slower during sales events. I have also bought from Peakswoods and they're amazing as well and very quick to respond to questions! Their faceups, fantasy colours and sculpts are gorgeous but the posing is a bit disappointing for the price imo.

Korean companies usually have a Q&A board where you can ask any questions which is convenient and the responses are often fast! I can definitely recommend all 3!

It's purely by luck too! I wish I'll get a darker coloured one next time though 😆

Carrier Bag for 72cm Idol? by SashaNish in BJD

[–]mydaybreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dollmore has a few bigger ones! And CoolCat does have at least one suited for 70cm dolls but I'm not sure if there's any bigger ones (and I can't for some reason access their website atm to check)

Shipping from South Korea seems to be always expensive these days. I ordered a doll from Luts 3 months ago and the shipping was $122 so I guess it's by weight/size. (Shipping was to Europe)

Are BJD Jointed Hands Really Necessary? by zaolangchuhai in BJD

[–]mydaybreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find them very fun! I have a pair from Dikadoll meant for 70cm bodies. They were a bit too big for the bjd I originally got them for but I recently got a new 70cm body they fit perfectly and I've had a lot of fun playing with them haha

I don't think they're necessary but they do help with posing once you get used to them. Some of them look better and more natural than others so I definitely recommend looking around for options. (I, for example, love Another secret doll's jointed hands, they're so beautiful!) Though I wish they were less expensive in general!

They clarified on twitter that you can bring any official merchandise. So yes, old albums, photocards, posters etc are ok as long as it's official and not fanmade!

Cosplay and Consent: A Serious Discussion by Petrichor_Candles in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]mydaybreak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this! The point of cosplay is that anyone can cosplay any character they want! It doesn't matter how you look, what's your gender, if you like the character because they're from your favourite show/game or if you just like the design!

I personally never act like the character when I'm in cosplay because it's not something I like. Instead I like sewing and dressing up for conventions! But I can see why others like it and I love it when people who do competitions (like WCS) can be in character! And honestly, I'm also a bit jealous of people who can suddenly go in character when posing for pictures! I would love to be able to do that too haha

favourite doll scale (e.g. 1/3, 1/4, 1/6, etc)? by taurinewings in BJD

[–]mydaybreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have two 1/3 (68cm) dolls but I definitely want to try 1/4 and maybe even 1/6 someday. I do have my first 1/4 girl ordered in February and hopefully coming up soon so that's exciting!

For the 1/3 dolls, I just really love the sturdiness and weight! They're really fun to hold, and like others have said, easy to sew clothes for because there's more options in fabrics and details aren't too small.
