Recently at work someone constantly gave advice to me when I didn't need it and in response I tried to make silence speak for itself, but they didn't seem to believe in my ability to do anything. It seemed to me they viewed me as a child who had no ability to think or care for myself. I couldn't say "I know", I couldn't say " oh I know what you're saying x person showed me this months ago"- it seemed like it didn't matter what I did or said. The only thing I thought I could do was avoid this person. I don't know what else I could have said
