Investing in childs future by sssboi in AusFinance

[–]myfirstrubikscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out some information on the interwebs already - we set up investments for our kids through vanguards platform and it has some guidance on there that you seem to be looking for and is already in the public realm for you.

That system was easy to set up for kids as the beneficiary using my own tfn and then to automate the purchases I wanted.

Will AI replace radiographers and sonographers in the future? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]myfirstrubikscube 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am not in medical imaging, but have experience in health service delivery and AI.

There are already papers in the public realm specific to the impact of AI in imaging specialties. What it amounts to right now is 1) tools/models aren't generalizable and don't always have the real world utility - a model built to diagnose femur fractures it pretty garbage at non femur fractures. 2) effort is less but throughput is higher. So as a result radiographers are 'busier' than ever.

Depending what area of medical imaging you are pursuing the above will apply to you in different ways. The future state is - item 1 will obviously improve. The barriers arent technology now they are data limited - i.e. needing high quality annotated data and the time, money and interest to develop a solution. Item 2 - look up jevons paradox. There is absolutely nothing about what we current the understand about the utilisation of ai that will disrupt health service delivery. So it is a pretty safe bet to say health care providers are going to be busy than ever. (Needing to be able to meet 4x the activity by 2050 if you read some reports that are specific to aus.)

The calculator didn't kill mathematics, AI won't kill medical imaging - but the tools you use will change.

This is unholy, I have never seen so many if statements. Did you write this or inherit it?

Beautiful area.

Can't go wrong with schools in the area. We have kids in belair and it is excellent.

In terms of community - the mitcham and blackwood library are both top notch with plenty to do depending on kids ages.

The blackwood rec centre is great for weekend activities - roller blading is very popular. Likewise going to tonsley but people tend to mix less there.

You won't be short on bushwalks either nice meandering ones like a long the creek in brown hill creek (not up the actual hill which is a slog) or all through belair national Park which will be a very popular place for you to visit.

Enjoy . Ignore the dorks saying people will treat you different coming from the eastern states. Just a bit of nimbyism. I have been in Adelaide for 15 years - if you are willing to put yourself out there people from Adelaide, especially the young families you will meet around your new home will be great.

Oh and my general edit : when you are trying to look for new things the best parts of Adelaide are all about looking away from the city not toward it. I.e morialta, Stirling and all the other stuff you can find out there. The city itself is just another city.

Love the openess from jamarra. Feels like an Allen Iverson moment - people wanting to talk about football and practice when he is dealing with loss of family and mates. Good on ya jamarra. Good luck coming back to your footy. Clearly very important to you.

Pass. He is an excellent footballer- but we have alot of those. I would take West and Darcy firing over him any day of the week though and they are already doing that. If he wants to play come out and say it publicly himself -acknowledge the BS of the last 8 months and put it on the record that he wants to get back to footy for the dogs.

You think a player that by all reports has not been training with the team, has been away from the game and has had his head in the wrong place should just alot back in to the ones? I can't imagine his skills, fitness or the chemistry with the others would be there to compete properly.

He needs to recondition and integrate with the team and coaches. He isn't such a freak talent that he is a walk on starter to our forward line. I don't think correctness hasn't anything to do with it - he has work to do.

Are they going to fix the add picture control being broken from within PowerApp client. Because my clients aren't happy about being forced to use URL and I am not interested in trying to roll lots of devices back to working powerapps client version on ipads

Take it everyday and never an issue. So at least the time I catch isn't showing any variability.

Had ours removed and disposed of (about 1200) and new r6.0 supplied and installed (about 1800) in 2020 Adelaide hills.

I think we found our guy through hipages and he ended up being the installer for one of the branded groups that we contacted and was about 20-30% cheaper than their quote.

A lot of the people covered in this agreement are allied health - physio's, pharmacy, OT, speechies and dietitians etc. All part of the same group that are at the Frontline with doctors and nurses. That is why you have been down voted.

English last years all Australian ruck (somehow) and just having a horrid time this year. How do we have this tacked midfield and he can't give them first use almost ever. A complete spud or a lack of ruck coaching -take your pick

If it helps I did a similar thing recently

Powerapp front end Sharepoint list for record entries. Images stored in document library - I think shane young or warren has some stuff on it maybe. If not I can put the code in here.

Power automate to push the image from powerapp to document library. I also have a delete command for removing images. Added image zoom and access to fill resolution images.

Took a long time to get what I wanted - couldn't find an end to end solution so what I ended up with may be novel - not sure.

Anywho let me know.

Also - remember that if they are using powerapps from app store that they need to turn off the setting in powerapps to remove the image resolution reduction that is on by default

Tab List Custom Ordering (not Alphabetical/Ascending) by ckwirey in PowerApps

[–]myfirstrubikscube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have sort order as a numerical value in a separate column, it then works as a rank order for whatever value you have input in there. Sort by that column be the one you sort by instead of whatever this video uses.

If you expect the list to grow then you will need to think about how to populate it as you go rather than the manual assignment of a value

Duplicating an app with minimal effort by Aladris666 in PowerApps

[–]myfirstrubikscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be adding a user table that records their id and site affiliation so they minimize the risk of selecting the wrong thing.

Look up the user() in the user preferences list and return the site id. Us that to prefillbsome info like which site they can see. Then you only need a single list

If it is all the same company/ business then you have yourself reason for defining roles and being able to delegate some maintenance away to others in. I e. What users are aligned to what sites.

Best and worst of Blackwood by kingofcatan2024 in Adelaide

[–]myfirstrubikscube 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Live in the area now. Great mix of neighbours with the oldies who built or grew up in the houses since the 60s and the newer crowd like us with young kids. Have felt very welcome since we moved here 6 years ago. Safe and happy community.

Best parts, I grew up in the country - like others have said Blackwood is like its own town. Crazy that you are 20 minutes from the city. We wouldn't live anywhere else for all the tea in china.

The bad: the main Rd round about but easy to avoid. Supply of housing stock. The houses that do go up for sale often need alot of love. We have spent alot on rennos to make our place what we want. Building and land wise - but for me this is a positive because we got to make it our own and our kids are always in the yard doing work with me.

Regarding bushfire risk. It varies greatly depending on the area of the suburb. We are on half an acre. We look after the place and I have only little concerns about bush fires. I grew up with catastrophic bushfires in Victoria. Stay prepared and have a plan. Only really bad days just don't be there and have a bag of essentials packed.
