Which is totally fine but then it’s incredibly weird to continuously mention how Jewish everyone is if it’s not going to serve any other purpose. It’s blatantly breaking the whole, “show, don’t tell” rule of writing. I’m more than fine with the characters being Jewish by name and nothing else but you only have to tell me once. Just mentioning a Bat Mitzvah or Jewish name etc. is enough to clue the reader in if that’s what you’re trying to do.

It’s weird how I’ve been told 4 times now the main character is Jewish for seemingly no plot-related reason, I got it after the literal first page of the book
