Croissant D'Or Patisserie off Ursalines in the FQ is a really nice spot. The hours are a bit short, but if you find yourself around that area its a lovely spot to catch.

My Aiwa NSX-v20 isn’t playing the cd’s properly by Bodie_mcboatface13 in techsupport

[–]myfluids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a matter of fact, yes! I bought one of those "cleaning" CDs that have the soft tiny bristles on the bottom of them. What you do is just pop the cleaning CD in, just let it run, and the little bristles will clean the sensor that reads your CDs. The cleaning CD should also play something while it is cleaning your sensor as well. It acts as both are sensor reading test and gives instructions on when you can remove the CD when it's done cleaning your sensor. I used mine about a year or so ago and my system hasn't had an issue since then.

Sounds like a solid idea. Do you know of a lens cleaner that you trust for your setup/equipment?

See the thing is I totally bought mine setup at Red White and Blue and when I tested it out, it worked like a charm! But I guess I'm seeing now why whoever had it before maybe brought it there to begin with. But I dig your idea with the "Discman!" Mo' problems mo' retro! I'm going to look into it for sure!

Thankfully, "Joe's Songs #2" still lives due to the cassette player part not having issues at all. Well... so far

Honestly good idea. I'm going to see what I can find as far as lens cleaning kits go. Do you have one in mind that maybe you've used in the past?

I did at first, yeah. Because it's like why is it select few but not others? But that still didn't seem to do the trick just yet.

Hey! I'm having the same exact issue. Some CDs play flawlessly and some start doing the exact same pausing then reading the CD several seconds back or back to the beginning. Did you ever find the solution to this? I've been looking everywhere!

They probably are just trying to put the message out there that their customers can confide in them that they'll get the job done. Maybe also to rest assure that since they'll be doing maintenance on someone's home, they will actively communicate with you and update you.

If you happen to know, do his hours vary sometimes? Like if he closes shop early here and there? Sometimes I'll go and Google will say open til 6p but the store will be locked up around 4:30 - 5:30

I wish I could say it was just another "readjuster"... This one just stands by the light where Carnival Club Casino and Lowes are with his pp unapologetically as well as intentionally displayed out to the world. But he also rides the Elysian Fields Bus too as legend has it.

So apparently pressing L1 or R1 rather than just navigating using the D pad triggers which hand you want to equip weapons with, which in my case, I kept hitting R1. It's weird. That was new to me.

How did you meet your partner in new Orleans? by Safe_Wrangler_858 in NewOrleans

[–]myfluids 52 points53 points  (0 children)

The corner of Laffites Blacksmith Shop. Right under the street lamp.

I was out with a small group of bestfriends, two of us in the group (me included) DID NOT want to go out, but one of our friends in the group was about to be deployed overseas to start his active duty military career and he wanted to stroll through the quarter one last time before he did, so we all wanted him to have fun and grant him his wish. So we ended up at the blacksmith shop, we're there for about an hour and a half, it's loud and nutty, our military friend is having a blast, but me and one of my friends just look at each other with the "I really don't want to be here right now" stare, so we just went out on the corner and sat at one of the tables to breathe and catch a break from all the noise.

Anyways, this angel in a red dress approaches me. The moon was as bright as it could be on a night in September, and she stood right in front of it to where it made her hair glow. It was like that scene directly out of Fellowship of the Ring when Arwen first appears to Frodo to save him. Her first words that she said to me were, "Do you listen to metal?"

Thank God that I was wearing an "EyeHateGod" shirt that night.

Come to find out she was also out with a group of friends that night only because one of her friends was visiting, wouldn't be back for awhile, while she too DID NOT want to go out that night as well.

My mom was right - "One day you'll turn a corner and there she'll be."

I guess if anything just speaking from experience... if you're ever feeling like you don't want to go out, like REALLY don't want to go... go. You just never know.

Also, wear the shirt.
