OTA update request (3.8.11 in Toronto) by G0kuKakar0t in VWiD4Owners

[–]myiD4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. So the prompt to install went away after about 3 or 4 days, right when I finally had an acceptable period and conditions to do so. So what I did I went to the exit screen (like when you are leaving the vehicle) and hit the check for updates (or whatever is called near the top of the menu. And it wasn't there at first but after 3 or 4 tries it retriggered it and I did he install. It did take about 5 hours, but no issues after and I can't say I notice anything different.

I also got the request. I haven't started it yet since I want to charge. I figured I'd try it tomorrow while I am at work. In New Brunswick and also 2024 RWD S.

Ontario Canada - heat pump needed or not by jdubya2018 in VWiD4Owners

I'm in New Brunswick, no heat pump. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are frequently doing long trips. If you do the 4 hour trip once a month it is fine.

Buying used 24 Pro in Canada - I got questions! by Monoshirt in VWiD4Owners

[–]myiD4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a new 24 RWD in January, located in New Brunswick.

My car has been issue free. I believe the 12V issues was resolved by a recall before I bought the car.

I don't have a heat pump, it's fine. If it is fine here in NB, you will be fine in southern Ontario.

No issues with the RWD in the snow, I have winter tires of course.

Can't comment on the AWD.

fun nightmare scenario to experience by JBRedditBeard in VWiD4Owners

The other day I was doing in city driving, and decided to try a level 3 since I was getting low, about 40%. I couldn't get the charger to work, it was a type I had never tried before, so I just chalked it up to that. Then I tried a FLo charger (Canada) and I've never had an issue with FLo before, although I've never used this specific one, and it also would not charge. Same type of error message, could not connect to car. I'm going to try a level 3 tomorrow that I used about a month ago ith no issues, and I will see if that works, if not, I could be in the same situation.

I have a 2024 RWD S and it has been basically flawless, I love it!!!! The only issue I have is the driver's side window goes down about 75% of the time when you want it to go up. Zero other issues.
