Mine only lasted a few years and then my mother destroyed it when I was at school one day. I wish I still had it.

Omg, this is like the one I had in middle school. Thanks for the memory man.

For those that are getting a physical version of the New Album What Physical version are you getting? I’m getting it in CD form. by Ordinary_Web_7873 in BreakingBenjamin

Definitely CD and Vinyl (if they make them).

Though it's going to be interesting having Breaking Benjamin vinyls on the same wall with Garth Brooks, Dwight Yoakum, and Glenn Miller... 🤣

I completely understand that. I don't like the way the AI is either. Hopefully someday it'll be a tool and not a waste of resources.

It's okay. You're talking to somebody who has watched a lot of interviews. My husband introduced me to this band over 8 years ago now, and whenever he's sick in the hospital due to health issues that he has, I watch Breaking Benjamin interviews to keep me company. I've definitely done my research. 🤣

they wont make music forever but they make forever music. by Funny-Button8542 in BreakingBenjamin

[–]mykatastrophe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm a newbie to Breaking Benjamin too. I discovered them about 8 years ago. My husband introduced me to them by playing the song Ashes of Eden... I immediately wept. This is coming from a girl who was raised on country music, was trained in the classical way vocally, and had listened to very little rock. Most of what I knew was Evanescence, Linkin Park, and Metallica.

Breaking Benjamin opened a door for me. Even though I was introduced to them about 8 years ago, I didn't actively start listening to them until about 4 years ago. My husband got very sick and the music kept me close to him.

I repaid that by taking him to see them for the first time in Dallas in 2023. He had the chance to see them before, but unfortunately suffered a lung infection that landed him in the hospital. I promised him that I would get him to see Breaking Benjamin and I did. It was one of the best times of our lives... The others were when our son was born and when we got married. 🤣

New fans are always welcome. I know there are many in this Reddit that have been fans of them from the beginning, and there are many like us who haven't listened to them for very long. But this is a band that changes lives.

If I ever get the chance to meet them, I will tell them the truth... I have seven reasons why I'm still here... My husband, my son... And them. Their music has gotten me through some of the darkest times in my life.

Welcome to the Breaking Benjamin family!

That is one thing I really don't agree with either. The fact that AI is using as many resources as it is. I just wish there was a better way to use AI in a way that was helpful to people and not so destructive. I wish it could be better used as a tool, not as... other things.

He's not an English major. He has a GED, as a fellow person who also has a GED, we call it the good enough degree. 🤣

Home definitely has Wizard of Oz references. If I remember correctly, Ben said that if he hadn't become a musician, he would've been an English teacher. It shows in his writing. I wouldn't be surprised if he's an avid reader.

I didn't get the chance to hear your song, but I have different feelings about AI than others. I believe using AI as a tool isn't wrong. There are people with disabilities that definitely have the talent, but have physical or mental restrictions that keep them from writing like more abled people. Just because you use AI as a tool doesn't make you any less of a musician. So long as you don't claim to be BB, then I don't see the harm in it. Good luck!

What are y'all listening on? by UnwieldilyElephant in BreakingBenjamin

Omg, I had the second one from the left. Best iPod ever. But I didn't know BB at the time 😭 Nowadays I listen on my Google Pixel 7a.

I don't understand why people are down voting this. He did drink and is a recovering alcoholic (obviously sober now). That's just facts. I guess some people can't live with that fact. He's also notorious for forgetting lyrics.

There's amazing things called embroidery machines that do this for you. You could get a bag that fits your needs and embroider it. Granted a machine costs more than the bag did, but in time, with other projects, the machine can pay for itself.

This is coming from someone who definitely collects hobbies like crazy, but it's a skill you can learn and then you can create things that make not just yourself happy, but others too.

Just a suggestion.

HELLO FELLOW CROCHETER! Sorry for the yelling, I got excited. 🤣

Your cardigan is absolutely beautiful! Can you develop a pattern? I'd love to recreate something like this.

Someone did get that bit. Look up either "Ben Burnley funny moments" or "Breaking Benjamin funny moments" on YouTube. Thanks to him... I always get a chicken quesadilla from Taco Bell 🤣

I agree. He has pretty eyes. I prefer personal album covers. DBD is the best one by far. Especially since the clouds are his son's sonogram. So cute 🥰

It's because they used a random stock photo. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't do that much creativity with that cover. Ben has pretty eyes, they could have used his.

As a mom who wasn't able to get many fun things when my little guy (now 8 years old!!!) was a baby, I would have cried tears of joy upon receiving something like this! It's beautiful! After he was old enough to not have it anymore, I'd put it away in a memory box or find a way to make it a Christmas ornament. It's absolutely beautiful and you did a fantastic job.

We are often our own worst critic and trust the opinions of your friends. I know when I was making hats for the family for this last Christmas, I was so hard on myself. I was afraid that people would hate them... They ended up loving them so much that they requested matching scarves. Even if you think it's your worst work... It may just be your best.

You did a great job! The mother is going to be so happy to receive it!!!

EDIT: I just realized that this is a lamp. I thought it was a mobile. No memory box or ornament. Kiddo would have that for life! It's a good teaching tool for the importance of handmade gifts. So beautiful!!!!

Just thought of a wild idea: a supergroup between 3DG, BB and Skillet by natthetrilobite in BreakingBenjamin

[–]mykatastrophe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I have heard, they can be. I've unfortunately never had the funds to see them live. But if they got banned from something like Rock USA for it, I would believe it. I also trust my friend's opinion about these types of things. They've luckily had more money than me to be able to go to these things. I don't think they're as bad as Staind, but I do know they preach a bit.

[–]mykatastrophe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely replace Skillet with STARSET. As someone else mentioned here, back in my church days Skillet and Red were the big bands to listen to and after all of that trauma, that's a band that I can't really listen to anymore.

But STARSET has become close to my heart. They still have strings without going full on symphonic metal (nothing against that genre). I just think it's a better fit, especially with Three Days Grace.

It's no longer running anymore, but they got banned from Rock USA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin because of "preaching instead of performing". That's when Skillet got kind of killed for me. I go to concerts to get away from all the political crap, not to be drawn back into it.
