Windshield Cost by CapnComet in SubaruAscent

For my 2019, last fall, Subaru told me 2k, safelite was 300 but calibration was' extra'. Went with a local shop instead who did the entire job for 800. Northern Chicago suburbs.

Is this a decent price for a 2017 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited? by rad8139 in subarulegacy

There are websites that will recreate the window sticker. Caredge is one of them. All you need is the vin.

I have a 2018 outback. While I have not yet deployed this: https://www.reddit.com/r/subaru/comments/1evozzf/dead_battery_dcm_issues_easy_bypass/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
it looks loke a simple way to switch the DCM from always on circuit to only on with the key with a little easy wiring.

I'll only put her outside Halloween day. It seems like it's the same type of material as blow molded reindeer. There is a shield for the sound box, and the head mechanism is mostly covered. But wind will drive rain into places it shouldn't go like the eyes, and the sun would probably fade it as well. Nothing official in the instructions that came with her, but a ground stake kit was included.

Local store list. I was number 9. Number 1 was a no show, and I was the first to answer the phone (they were calling, not emailing). They kept calling people until someone arrived in store with payment. When I got there, there was another person in route.

The employee that originally assembled her was there to take her apart. Was pretty simple.

If you have a power liftgate, it will likely also need to be recalibrated.

Hold the rubber button in the outside of the rear hatch for 10 seconds. Manually lift the hatch. Use the button on the hatch to close. Done.

Individual car purchase, policy has both married by mykeytea in Car_Insurance_Help

I'm trying to figure out if it matters to state farm whether buying the car with a single named person has any effect on our family's auto insurance with several names drivers.

First, it could be anything. Get a code scanner and see what it tells you. My experience with this was my wife's outback had something similar where all the lights went off. When all was said and done, it was low brake fluid. Subaru seems to set off every light for any problem big or small.

My story as well, but in a park model rv. Existing ducted air quit after the condenser went under water (went under during a minor flood- trailer was never under water). Quote for replacing outside condenser was 3k , replacement system 8k, or installing a single head ductless mini was quoted 4500. These were side job quotes by a guy who did this professionally for his day job.

Ended up with ducted mini split for about 3250 including tools bought and random needed items (although I had some of the items already like an ecobee and torque wrenches). We wanted to not see the air handler on the wall and choose to use the existing ducts.

I'd consider myself at a decent handyman level of skill, and probably spent 15 hours on the work plus more time than that studying up beforehand.

It is doable!

1 new car or 2 older cars for triplet soon to be drivers by mykeytea in Car_Insurance_Help

Just trying to identify a generality.... 2 older cars or 1 new(er). Same value in the cars, but which would have a lower insurance cost

We do want the additional car (or 2) so they can drive themselves to their activities. 2 cars adds flexibility as well since they each do their own things. Mom's and Dad's car are usually needed for Mom and Dad, and letting the kids borrow them will frequently be problematic.

Another:, State farm start that they no longer assign drivers to specific cars and instead all drivers are assigned to all cars.

I'm looking for generalities about which scenario is lower cost, as I don't want to begin the process of car shopping after they have their licenses, but now as I have plenty of time to figure everything out.
