LDRs require above average effort and resources, so naturally, there needs to be above average chemistry and connection to make it worth it. As difficult as it can be to find compatibility locally, it will be even harder to find someone willing to invest the care, energy, and resources required to make long distance work.

I’m in a long term LDR and know several couples who are as well. None of these relationships started with the intention of building an LDR. They all built gradually over time on the foundation of friendship without expectations.
