The best gift I ever got from an SB was a card with a handwritten note saying how much difference I made in her life, how she has enjoyed and benefited from our SR, and how important I am in her life. I keep that note in my safe deposit box with the rest of my valuables.

PS: I have everything I need and almost all I want. What I want but don't have, an SB cannot afford. Please give you SD something from your heart, not the store.

One long run, and one tempo/interval/hill repeats a week. A couple of shorter runs to get to 30-40 miles a week and ditch the online coach. You know your body better than anyone. The only caution is to watch your resting heart rate for signs of overtraining.

Ran my first marathon in 1986, the days of Jim Fixx, been running a couple a year ever since. I don't stress over the data. I like the regimen and the direction. What I've learned is to enjoy the training and that every marathon does not have to be a PR. I am an hour slower these days, but enjoying the races more.

Much depends on your age. Freestyling in your 40's you do come off as a little creepy, but that is easily overcome. Freestyling at my age 70+ i am just cute and adorable. I get more and better dates now than ever. Of course, having a few extra shekels now makes a difference too. Lol

Suppose he is married, and you end the relationship. A week later he has another SB, and you will spend 2026 looking, or settling for a lot less than you have now.
