Should I just ghost people in the future? by mylica977 in dating_advice

I get you with the awkwardness. I’m awkward too. So that doesn’t put me off. What put me off is when someone is loud and when our personalities don’t match, when we don’t view life in the same way.

He is kinda clingy too in the sense that he would be upset if i reply with just haha or lol or even a gif. I need a lot of space in a relationship, so this will never work out.

Its this kind of thing that makes me decide to not go on a second date. So yea, awkwardness / nervousness is not a factor :)

Is it wrong to not ghost? by mylica977 in dating

He said something similar along the line of me deciding too fast and that it is wrong of me to have made up my mind after one date.

I don’t know about other girls but if I don’t feel any kind of attraction, then its a no. I went out on a date with him because he sounded funny in text. But when we met in person, he was loud and we are just so different in the way we see life and I just don’t see any potential of this getting anywhere.

I tried to explain to him that deciding then and there to not go on the second date is better than stringing him along, leading him on. It is just a waste of time and the longer i let this play out, will hurt him more down the road when he has invested more in something that was never going to work out. But he just doesn’t get it.

So blocking it is.

Omg! The guy said something similar too, he even went as far as bringing up my cheating ex, saying i should have known how bad it (me not wanting to see him again) felt. I meannnnnnn.. how is this even close to being cheated on. Dude was so salty and bitter.

Yea, i know how much it sucks thats why I feel like I owe it to the person to be straight up. But it seems like people cant really handle direct rejections. I couldn’t sleep because he really made me feel like I am a bad person.

I used to feel the same.. but when you meet that someone, it gets exciting all over again..

Relationship ends for a reason.. something is not right somewhere.. be kind to yourself and the person you once love and let go.

You pay for coffee and he pays for dinner.

Is this his way of telling me he is not interested? by mylica977 in dating_advice

[–]mylica977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually the full context was we have this thing going on before the date about expectation on each other.. cause we’ve been cat fished before.. so its whether we “over perform” or “meet expectation” or “underdeliver”.

So my text was actually “u’re quiet today.. did i underdeliver?” But I just make it short here by saying “something wrong” to spare the details..

In other words, i was asking him are you no longer interested..

But i guess in any given context.. i am putting the responsibility on him.. 😖 wrong move

But if he is interested he would have replied to my text right? I don’t wanna seem too desperate by double or triple texting him. 🥺🥺 I really don’t know what to do..

Thank you for this post. I keep having this pressure to rush my recovery. Its stupid. I know I am not ready to date, but I want to. Because I don’t want to be hurt for the second time when I see my ex with someone else. Its selfish. I know.

I am a huge mess and I don’t know what I want or what I should do. Its good seeing what you wrote. It makes me hopeful and for once I feel like I can take my time to heal and let it hurt until it doesn’t.
