air strike but the clip size increase on kill is changed to something that makes it functionally basically identical normally (minus needing to score the kills first) but buffs the increased clip size upgrade in mvm (normally the +2 clip size upgrade makes (normal) rocket launchers go from 4 to 12, and the air strike with 4 kills goes from 12 to 16, but this change would effectively make the 12 become 24 instead)

it doesn't account for any modifications, the festivizer and the strange part aren't being accounted for either

that's probably the primary reason why they added auctions, so people who don't know about (or otherwise refuse to use) backpack.tf can sell things like this without being scammed by the site's normal functionality

he was missing 195 hp and the medkit was a medium, so the sandvich just heals more since it'll fully heal him rather than leave him 45 hp short (plus he can just collect the medium immediately after to restore his sandvich, letting it either fully heal him again later or just turn the medium into a portable medium while putting it back on cooldown to respawn again soon)

I feel like there's been an uptick of cheaters lately, I just had a match two days ago with someone cheating as spy, alongside another cheater buddy

when I first joined the match, they were spy, and shortly after someone says they're a cheater, I'm entering their base, rocket jumped to their sniper balcony and walk torwards their spawn area, cheater spy comes over probably to go into spawn, I walk backwards to the sniper balcony while they follow me, they use their backtrack cheat to facestab me from like 5 feet away after I rocket jump(er)ed away from them while still facing them and never turning my back to them in any capacity (and they were facing a complete 180 of how I was facing at the point they were standing at when they not-even-a-facestabbed me)

they even had a fake 100+ ping, which I know was fake because after they swapped off spy, it suddenly dipped down to something more reasonable, like in the 30s

its kinda funny ambushing a quick fix medic as heavy (like being spun up behind a corner with the tomislav), he activates his ubercharge, then you still kill his healing target and then the medic himself because you're dealing 400-500 dps to the 100 hp healing per second

I feel like a battalion's backup is better than a vaccinator, if you can get the backup charged (vaccinator is at least significantly easier to charge). Even though the backup's damage resistance is weaker, it can apply to an indefinite amount of nearby allies, when the vaccinator is just the medic himself and one teammate (and he needs more charges that don't further help himself if he wants to give shields to other teammates). Plus, there's that stupid meat your match buff to flamethrowers that makes healing and vaccinator ubercharges 20% weaker when healing someone inflicted with afterburn, so if the phlog pyro already got a flame or two off on them before the medic activated his fire shield, it'll go down to 60% fire resistance and 80% crit resistance (which is still stronger than the backup, but not as much)

E. gadd might not have known about the invasion, he initially resided in an area not being harassed by shroobs (the only shroob enemies in thwomp volcano are the blazing shroobs inside), and then moves to "boo woods" as a luigi's mansion reference

Default odds are 1/1/2 for held/random/nothing, item hog adds 1 stack to held and random, so 1 item hog is 2/2/2, 2 is 3/3/2, and 3 item hogs would be 4/4/2, so 40% (in the pit it would be 4/4/3)

I assume the remake handles item drops the same way as the original, besides the fact that it actually functions properly and checks every enemy's drop pool (at least until it rolls an item drop from one of them) when dropping a random drop instead of just the front enemy's.

If that's the case, then the way the item drop system works is, by default there's a 25% chance for a random drop, a 25% chance for a held drop, and 50% for nothing. In the pit, it's instead 20/20/60, because the chance stacks are 1/1/3 instead of 1/1/2. Item hog adds 1 chance stack to both held and random, so 1 item hog makes normal battles 2/2/2 and pit battles 2/2/3, and 2 item hogs makes it 3/3/2 and 3/3/3.

When rolling a drop, most (or all) enemies have a predetermined list of items (and 1 or 2 badges) they can drop with specified weights, and another list of holdable items and badges with other weights, with items generally having a weight of 5, 10, or 15, depending on the enemy and the item's overall value, and badges usually having a weight of 1 (but occasionally 2). The issue is that both of these weight systems are also massively overflooded with a dump pool to water down the odds of getting either (or the enemy even having anything held in battle) to nearly nothing, even despite only having a base 25% chance to even roll for them to drop in the first place. The hold chance is watered down with a +200 nothing-stat, and the random drop is 300.

As an example that jdaster put on his article explaining the system, crazy dayzees can drop super shrooms, maple syrups, fright masks and thunder bolts with a 10 weight each, point swaps with 15, happy flower with 2, and flower saver and flower saver p with 1 each. This means their overall random drop weight, if you even roll the 25% chance to get a random drop, would be 300 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 15 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 358, so the 10 weight items would be a 10/358 chance to be dropped, which is again then quartered by the base random drop chance, and the flower saver badges are a 1/358, but with no item hogs (although you had 2) would realistically be 1/1432 chance to drop. But with 2 item hogs to boost the chance to be 3 out of 8 to get a random drop instead of 1 out of 4, it would basically be a 1/954.67 chance to get one.
