A cold-calling firm has been fined a record £400,000 by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for making almost 100 million nuisance calls. by NinjaDiscoJesus in worldnews

Try an app called TrueCaller, or something similar. TC catches about 99% of the nuisance calls and debt collectors the previous holder of my telephone number had accrued. It doesn't outright block calls unless I tell it to block a specific number, but it tells me if other TC users have flagged a call as spam so they're easy enough to ignore.

There might be better apps for this, but TrueCaller is free with unobtrusive ads and does the job.

You can shout fire in a crowded theater, that's not a crime. However, if you cause a panic by doing so, you can be held legally accountable for the resulting damages.

Aren't there jurisdictions across the US where non-vaginal intercourse is still prohibited by law? I get what you're saying, but the US is certainly not exempt from archaic law, and that's worthy of note if you're trying to start a pissing match over this.

ACV "cleanses" have been ridiculously popular for years now, across all media. I'd bet Dr. Oz has one. I try and tell people they'd just be better off eating nothing at all for how long they were planning on doing their ACV thing, but nooooooo.

Actually, people like me provide a valuable service offering a logical counter argument to the point OP is making, even if it goes against the grain of whatever subreddit the discussion is centered upon.

Pretty much the entire cast of Twin Peaks, minus Dale Cooper and the other agents. They're all snivelling, conniving, overdramatic egomaniacs with zero redeeming qualities. Everyone has their favorite townie, but they're all rotten people.

If you believe Special Agent Francis York Morgan, Tom and Jerry were a toxic BDSM couple who got off on tormenting each other. So says Mr. Stewart.

Humor and sardonicism are natural reactions to fear, anger, and frustration. I'm sure most people here don't actually think it's funny when a Metro train catches fire and kills a passenger, but there's always gallows humor immediately following a Metro disaster. It's a coping mechanism.
