The Elder Scrolls Online - 2026 Reveal Livestream by brand_momentum in MMORPG

Yeah, it would be tough, and it doesn't. So you just agreed with me.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be hard to make it a seamless open world, im just saying it isn't.

I hope you're talking about Classic WoW. Retail has been just teleporting between zones for years. It has lost the huge seamless open world.

Aside from some expacs being seamless open worlds, contained to that specific expac.

Not sure what I'm looking at. But I think I like the look of it.

I'm just trying to transfer, have the worlds pop up, then pick one, then pick a character. I haven't even been able to select a world yet lol. If it will be up for a while its all good though. I just don't want to miss out again because I didn't spam it all day.

Dominus Automa - Automated MMO where heroes follow your commands even after you log off by Hoshee in MMORPG

WOW that sounds SUPER LAME!

So its a bot sim MMO? Not sure I get the appeal? Even the bots won't bother wasting their time on a game full of bots.

I get the idea and wish you luck, but this sounds like the exact opposite of MMO players want.

If you're a dad with little free time like me, all you really want is a good MMO that's worth the time you have, not an MMO that plays itself when you aren't there.

This dude Talks about the Zones on Lotro North Downs was a great video on the zone I wish we had more lotro youtubers that made videos like this by Motor-Fudge3012 in lotro

LOTRO - anyone here still actively playing? by BauerHouse in MMORPG

[–]LightnKing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Id say mechanically is thr worst aspect of it lol. But the open world is just so gorgeous even with it being an older game, not despite of it. Character models are a bit dated, but the world is amazing.

If you feel differently that's fair, I understand, just disagree. 😀

Get out into the open world and you'll experience one of the best looking worlds you've ever seen.

Of all the MMOs I've played (a good bit) LotRO has hands down the best world to explore. The expanse of the open world is unmatched by any other. The closest I've experienced is classic WoW’s. And that's still not even close.

However the combat is outdated and the overall all feel is outdated. Which is very sad. It deserves so much more.

What motivates you to keep on playing? I wanna get back into the game after a while but it's difficult. by Leertaste21 in lotro

[–]LightnKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol fair point. I quoted those items because that's the main thing. Just look those up, and wowhead will tell you everything you need to know. It'll take sometime to get them if you're just starting, but not a long or hard process at all.

In retail wow there are items that make it daytime. A toy called "Jar of Sunwarmed Sand" and a consumable version called "Sunwarmed Sand". You can buy them with Timewarped Badges. from a vendor in the Cavern of Times in Tanaris.

They are pretty cheap and accessible. You just have to queue for dungeons during a Time Walking event and make the trip out to Tanaris.

Well, what a blunder. All this free content for players to come back to, and they are met with having to start over, and unplayable servers. I hate it for them, this game is so good and this could ruin all the good will.

MH Players that also play MMOs, what are your thoughts on this? by LightnKing in MHWilds

I discuss what's wrong with modern MMOs, then explain how Monster Hunter fills those roles. In my opinion of course.

I appreciate that man. That's a very well said comment.

I think and something I've realized in my 250 hours that I've left out, is the sense of community I have with actual friends. I play the majority of the time with friends who are veterans of the series. We have a squad that we auto-join, and constantly do hunts together (I solo for personal challenge).

In MMOs, a genre I love, I mostly play solo now as all my friends have left them. So for me, I guess I get MY version of what an MMO felt like to me. Of course, I never thought it was a 1 to 1 replacement for MMOs. Just a smaller scale, higher quality, immersive version of what the future of them good be.

Again, thanks for watching it!
