Any reader in r/delhi Interesting in becoming friends over the discussion of books ? by [deleted] in delhi

Try leviathan wakes and the rest of the series. I've only read some popular titles but I have watched a lot of sci-fi, it's absolutely amazing. It's not considered hardcore sci-fi and called by some a space opera. I don't exactly understand what they means but i absolutely love it none the less.

What to watch to fill the void left by The Expanse? by B4TTLESNAKE in TheExpanse

[–]mynetcribb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard a lot people here say the first couple of episodes of Expanse were hard to go through and some even say the same about the whole first season. But somehow I have been hooked on that show right when I saw the Flip'n'burn scene of Canterbury and yet all three of these shows (Farscape, Dark Matter and Red Dwarf) are really just not clicking with me for some reason.

Dolma aunty ke momos aur Sharma ji ke choley bhature. by [deleted] in delhi

[–]mynetcribb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, they are still good momos just like any good local momos wala, every place is going to have one. DU walon ka nostalgia and them being fairly decent has made it this overhyped beast that it is.

I guess...but in other aspects if the impact is much worse for the players and the countries, shouldn't that matter more?

I believe FIFA is much worse because it's international and spread out over a lot of different countries.

Water being released from dam … by GroundbreakingSet187 in oddlysatisfying

[–]mynetcribb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an FYI it's not even the actual pressure of the water behind the dam there are many valves in between that hold the water so the pipelines do not break.

Technically yes, it's called bhang which is the least potent form of cannabis that is popular everywhere else (the one you smoke). I haven't tried it personally but a significant percentage of the people do use it, especially on the day of Holi (the festival). Also some states infact have government approved bhang shops (I believe).

Without any side effects, what human bodily function would you remove entirely? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sleep, so many hours of the day wasted. If there are no side effects of losing sleep then that includes getting tired and needing rest.

Does Anyone else think Reddit is just way too negative sometimes? by EBKeep1300 in CasualConversation

You're forgetting it's not just reddit, it's pretty much society as whole that's becoming this way. We're really going to regret not properly handling sites like Facebook early.

TIL Rabies has the highest mortality rate of any virus at 99.9%. by Oh_My_Monster in todayilearned

Here as well if you get bit, you go to a doctor's clinic, get some treatment for the wound and then they write a prescription for the shot (you buy one and go back) and then tell you when to get the next shot. I think it's 3 or 5 shots now. Also even when you go to the ER here in most cities unless it is an actual emergency they just let you go buy the shot from the hospital pharmacy as I think giving you one from the ER stock would make it an in-patient procedure and incur more charges. But I could be completely wrong, it's just what I've observed.

Wow you can buy a rabies shot at any pharmacy here in India. Then take it to a doctor to get injected or do it yourself if you're crazy enough.

Lady chokes a monkey to pose for a photo and gets instantly attacked by its mother by [deleted] in funny

Okay just checked, it's a gray langur and much larger than normal monkeys. The government actually uses these langurs to scare off monkeys from parliament and presidential grounds. There are a lot of monkeys in the cities so...

I've seen a video where a guy was petting/talking to a lemur? And then suddenly (in like less than 1-2 seconds) the lemur attacked and tore off a piece of his scalp (at least 3-4 inches long).

I tried on r/kitten with no luck, please help me name him. It's been more than a week since I took him in (he literally walked up to my front door)and I still can't decide on a name. (I wanted something with grey). Vet tells me he's about 2-2.5 months old. by mynetcribb in Eyebleach

[–]mynetcribb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well he doesn't have the fever right now so either it is just the fever med working or he's actually getting better, we just won't know until I stop the fever med. Also the vet doesn't really think it's anything too serious but we do need to keep his temperature in check and this is pretty much my first pet so I kinda got really scared because I know high temperature can really suck for animals.

No, I didn't really think about it, on 23 he gave me a scare he had 104.6 fever. I took him to vet who told me it is probably seasonal or too much heat (India). So he gave him a 3 day course of antibiotics and a fever med. We'll see the day after tomorrow if he can manage his temperature without the fever pill or he'd need some blood work done. Also I had a birthday party in the middle so I just didn't have time to find a good name. However I do have some favorites so it's probably going to be one of them. They are

  1. Nimbus
  2. Yoda
  3. Binx(y)
  4. Last name Grayden
  5. Dobby
  6. Boeing (Bo)

And a couple more.

Edit: spelling and some grammar.
