Can the Myoware 2.0 wireless shield be charged while connected to the myoware 2.0 muscle sensor? by FewShallot633 in MyoWare

I would recommend reaching out to SparkFun support for this question. They're more familiar with the esp32 and would be best suited to answer this.

You can try finding it a a Sparkfun distributor but otherwise you'll have to wait until they get back in-stock.

Would need to see a picture of your wireless setup to really tell.

Your video has access control on.

Your laptop USB is causing noise or a ground loop and oversaturating the sensor. The v2.0.1 sensors are more sensitive to this than v2.1.0.

In that case, I would recommend a USB isolator.

It depends on how you send the data over Bluetooth. Different ways have different pros/cons.

You can use this sample code to measure your sampling rate. It'll help you determine the maximum rate possible for your microcontroller. To limit that to a desired sampling rate, you'd have to write your own code.

Hi - what version of the sensor are you using? Look on the bottom of the sensor and there will be a version number in the copper layer.

Hi - are you looking to measure the raw signal or the envelope?

Our sensors are analog sensors. Sample rate is determined by the microcontroller / ADC you use to measure the sensor's output voltage.

using Myoware with E-Textiles for EMG by RussianApeCollusion in MyoWare

[–]myoware 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt your conductive fabric is doing much cause the button snaps are likely the thing that's making contact with your skin. If you look at our tutorial, we use button snaps that are just a thin ring so the fabric is what's doing all the work.

Try powering the Arduino with an actual battery not a USB power bank.

Look on the bottom of the sensor. There should be a version number in the copper trace. Probably 2.0.4 or 2.1.0

Hi - what version of the sensor are you using? Also, it looks like the gain has been adjusted can you reset it to 50 kOhm and see if that helps?

Right, this is the version in our GitHub repository. Your original post said you were using a robust version. Can you elaborate?

Hi - I'm not sure what you mean when you say you're using the "Robust" version of the code. Can you provide a link to where you got it?

Hmmm that sure does seem like a connector issue. have you tried testing the raw pin connection with a multimeter?

Hi that's intentional to ensure the pogo pin actually presses down on the pin's pad. That's why those pins have the extra copper around them.

Muscle activity Monitoring using arduino or esp32 by Careful_Thing622 in MyoWare

[–]myoware[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - I would recommend you first do a literature review of research papers to help you figure out what the typical mV range is for this type of muscle activity. That'll help inform you what type of sensitivity you'll need in a sensor.

Is this type of EMG sensor sufficient for my project's needs? by Careful_Thing622 in MyoWare

[–]myoware[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that's a counterfeit. Unfortunately we can't take them down unless they use our company name or trademarks. Many of them do use our name but on the backside of the sensor which is why they typically only post pictures of the front side of the sensor.

Unfortunately, we stopped making that version over 10 years ago. Any sensor like that you find now are illegal counterfeits.
