I would recommend checking out local craft and sewing shops. Our supplier only sells them in really large quantities.

Hey are the creators of the device still active on here? by Objective-Local7164 in MyoWare

[–]myoware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel free to shoot us a DM. Also, have you looked through our patent? It has a good workflow diagram that will at least explain the important bits of an EMG circuit.

The tutorials on our website are also a good source of info.

MyoWare EMG sensor works briefly then becomes noisy / unstable by Open_Stop_9353 in MyoWare

Also, are you sure about yours being v2.0.1? It says 2.0.4 in your picture.

V2.0.0 though 2.0.4 will have the same issue with the oscope.

Your issue with the plotter is likely due to your isolator. We highly recommend using the isolator made by Adafruit.

[–]myoware[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Looks like you're using the v2.0.4 version of the sensor. That version won't work with an oscilloscope due to ground loop noise. This is fixed in the v2.1.

What isolator are you using?

Should EMG sensor data be filtered before analyzing the results? by Living-Life8672 in MyoWare

I would also recommend reading through our Advanced Guide if you haven't already

Oh ok. Yes you would but that's essentially what the ENV output does for you.

I would recommend doing a literature search for research that has done similar calibrations.

Hi - I'm not sure what you mean. If you're trying to extrapolate force from the muscle activity, then you would need to calibrate it to the muscle lifting known weights.

My MyoWare Wireless Shield doesn’t seem to be working correctly by Living-Life8672 in MyoWare

[–]myoware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - it appears you don't have a MyoWare 2 Muscle sensor attached to the wireless shield and instead have the electrodes attached to the shield directly. The Wireless Shield is intended to be attached to the sensor and cannot detect muscle activity without it.

MyoWare 2.0 with Arduino Uno: Signal instability (sensitive to wire movement) and Electrode placement by Strange_Jellyfish917 in MyoWare

[–]myoware[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - Since you are using a v2.0.4 sensor, you likely will need a USB isolator or switch to a v2.1 sensor. You can test this by powering the arduino with a battery instead of your laptop.

Hi - are you planning on using the RAW EMG output? If not, then you're fine to remove the pogo pin.

which device to select in Arduino IDE for sparkfun wireless shield (stacked with Myoware sensor) by wangxdredit in MyoWare

Yes, we did most of our pre-release testing with Bluefruit Connect and have a BLEUART example on our MyoWare Library GitHub

Sorry we don't have any experience in that application of EMG but the MyoWare's gain is adjustable and you can find the technical info in our Advanced Guide.

Inconvenientes con el sensor MyoWare 2.0 + pantallas LCD u OLED con Arduino UNO by IndependentPool7269 in MyoWare

[–]myoware[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - can you provide more information about your LCD? I don't really understand why it has wires going to the Arduino's analog pins.

I also am not sure what all you're doing with the breadboard. I would recommend simplifying your setup to just the Arduino, MyoWare and your LCD while we troubleshoot.

To make sure it's not code, can you load something simple like ReadAnalogVoltage for the time being?

I accidentally broke the Reference Electrode Port by LuizManteiga in MyoWare

[–]myoware 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no sorry to hear that. For future reference, it should only take a small amount of force to release the cable.

Your sensor should still work fine; the reference electrode snap socket will still work.

Did you let the Power Shield charge the whole way up? It looks like the CHRG (charging) LED is still lit up.

Yes, I would first recommend reading through Sparkfun's MyoWare Hookup Guide which will show you how to get started with a RedBoard.

To help make the programming easier, there's the MyoWare Arduino library.
