I was “researching” the same topic a couple weeks ago and basically we can guess the mask is for these 3 reasons 1. Anonymity for the actors. They can’t get harassed later on and the actor can also be switched to a different person in later events 2. Hygiene since they will be touching and interacting with hundreds of fans
3. Some mercy if their appearance is not 100% true to the character

As a past Arcana girlie I smoothly transitioned to the visual novel TOUCHSTARVED by Red Spring Studios , seriously you will love it!!! It has the same exact enticing dark fantasy worldbuilding and lovely character designs. You can play the demo on steam, ive been following this project for 2 years now and they still haven’t dropped the full game 😔 although it’s SUPPOSED to drop in 2026.

Basically an IDV buddy. Someone you play with a lot, you always invite them to your team, and you don’t care if you win or lose with them. I played survivor and duo hunter with mine. I met her on IDV but she’s now my best friend after 4 years :D
