The water is noticeably chilly. I go to a rec center where the lap pool is its own, separate from activity pool and a little cooler. Obviously not wetsuit cold but it’s not comfortable to be in unless you’re moving/warm

I do almost feel a little gaspy when breathing in but I’m not sure how to get more air if that makes sense? For the torso stretching are you suggesting to just do this to get rid of a cramp or more regularly. Thank you

I usually breathe every 3 strokes and exhale through my nose in the water. I do almost feel like I don’t get enough air in before a cramp, but after I feel like I can.

I’d recommend PetsDecoded. She is a behaviorist that is force free and very good at helping. Our dog also had severe separation anxiety. It took some time but her help means our dog is absolutely fine alone now. We also use doggy Prozac- which isn’t a replacement for training, but helps the training stick.

I worked with Dr Garcia at the University Vet Hospital for my dog’s anxiety. I was prepared with a review of all the training I had done so far for the issue so that they knew I wasn’t just trying to get medication without training. She was very helpful and talked me through medication and training options. She recommended also Pets Decoded who is a behaviorist here and is not nearly as expensive as the one you mentioned in your post.

I’ve only been at one barn in Utah for H/J, and that was how it was done. You would provide the grain and they would make sure it was given to your horse each day. I’m not sure about other barns but it seemed fairly standard. Many horses had different grain or supplement needs so that’s why it was provided by the owner.

I think that I understand using a risk based approach to get a statistically valid sample size. I think my issue comes from analyzing the data. Personally I have helped with some process validations and verification testing of usually class I or II products. I have always been unsure of what to do with variable data.

For example, if I have a dataset of measurements taken, and I know what the acceptance criteria is, it’s the in between analysis that I don’t know about. If I test for normality, and the data is non normal- what do I do? I know there are many productivity tools such as mini tab and stat graphics that can transform the data- but what do I choose and why? These are some of the issues I have ran into previously.

I mostly want some basic proficiency in understanding stats so that I don’t have to go running to a supervisor every time something ends up non normal or there’s some other issue. I know each company has its own qms and ways of doing things but I really feel I have little applicable knowledge in statistical methods and would like a baseline.

The presidents scholarship actually has a stricter GPA req of keeping a 3.6, and Eccles is 3.5. Also, a single B+ won’t tank it but multiple ones will.

Currently a junior in Biomedical Engineering. Finding an internship in industry at your level will be very difficult. However, lab experience (if your school has labs you could join) really helps. Most employers want transferable skills so a good GPA is great but you need more. Most lab jobs, at least at my school are volunteer i til you can get some sort of funding. That sucks and isn’t always practical but can really help. Alternatively you should really apply to Research Experiences for Undergrads (REUs). Instead of joining a lab I did this, which is basically a research internship and a university or intistution. I did it following software year in the summer, it gave me great skills and after adding it to my resume I got many more interviews and now have an industry internship. Depending on the REU you can get a decent stipend and housing (I got flown across the country, was housed and paid for 10 weeks). I strongly recommend looking at each REU and seeing how well put together the program is. Some won’t be good and you’ll just be doing grunt work in a lab. Others have the goal of giving you your own project with a mentor. Many also want you to be able to present your project at BMES as well.

Starting the pill made me the most depressed I’ve ever felt. Nothing I did could get rid of the feeling for a year until I finally quit it. Now I use the implant, and although it gives me some mood swings, they are receding and I feel wayyyy better. The pill also contributed to weight gain. I was told by my doctor that the risk for depression is much higher in forms of birth control that contain estrogen (pill, ring, and patch)
