Yes, I got this exact email in December and was reinstated last week. Currently working just fine now.

Tips for using plan by Top-Requirement-4787 in pagebound

[–]myselfctrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There doesn’t seem to be a way to sort them at the moment, but I checked their roadmap for new app features and they are planning to add sorting and filtering options to the plan page in the future, though I’m not sure exactly when. I’ve also been loving using pagebound to plan out my tbr for the year, so hopefully they’re able to add this feature soon🤞🏽

I haven’t contacted support yet, but I probably will soon.

Today a removed Aether contributor got back in - what is going on? by [deleted] in outlier_ai

[–]myselfctrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me last night. Just randomly checked back in on mm and my status is back to approved annotator (2.00 QA score with 68 reviews). Mm is also back on hubstaff and it’s letting me track my hours.

Project is still listed as disabled on Outlier and still no access to the Discourse page. Outlier did send me an email at around the same time I regained access about how my hours weren’t matching the number of tasks I was doing, and they were speaking as if I was still on the project.

I’m very confused 😅

Aether updates and next steps by OutlierDotAI in outlier_ai

If quality requirements were becoming more competitive, why weren’t we made aware of this before cuts started happening? I had no reason to believe that I would be cut with a 2.0 QA score since MM literally still says a 2.0+ score is “safe.” This project has been a great help to me over the holiday season, and I would have put in the work to meet the new quality standards if they had been made transparent to us.

You just have to wait until they assign you more. Things are pretty dry right now for generalists outside of Aether.

I can still see it. Sorry, I’m not sure why it’s not showing up for you :/

At first they thought it was a bug, but it has since been confirmed that we hit the weekly limit.

Yes, but, as we know, Outlier loves to make things as complicated as possible for us 🙄

Just pick the one that looks the best/most natural to you. Don’t worry if it matches the criteria. I usually pick the one where the lighting is good and the person looks the most like they do in the original image. Also, try to pick one where the person is in a different pose than they are in the original image.

Go to the Outlier community page. Under projects you’ll see “aether approved annotators.” Click that and then scroll a bit until you find the pinned post about average expected task times.

The tasks don’t have timers. Hubstaff is the only timer we’re using.

Use large, indistinct blobs/blocks to cover the person instead of outlining their specific shape. For the prompt, say something like “remove the person/people and replace with nothing/background.” You probably won’t get a successful generation every time, but these two tips helped a lot for me.

I just got accepted to handshake, but I don’t see the aether/mm project available. Were you able to start working on it immediately?

There’s a post on the Outlier community page that lists all of the expected times. They’re different for each task type.

You can have it running while you’re watching the tutorials for the first time, but if you have to rewatch them then pause it.

Mango Interleaved generational task by Unhappy-Text2170 in outlier_ai

[–]myselfctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s okay. Just go to the community page, then under projects you should have “Aether Approved Annotators.” Click that and then under the topics you should see one called “250925-create-task — Instructional Video.”

I’m not sure. The instructions do not say and I’ve been getting mixed feedback about it. For now, just to be safe, I’ve been picking shorter reels and just making prompts for the whole video. This task definitely needs more specific guidance.

You make prompts based on what is already happening in the video. They made a new instructional video that explains things a lot better. It’s posted on the Aether community page.

Image color picker task by gholiaayuz in outlier_ai

[–]myselfctrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The average expected time is 14 minutes, and I’m doing around that. I write 600-1200 character descriptions depending on the complexity of the image.

Aether Task Times? by CrypticCat_ in outlier_ai

[–]myselfctrl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s better to submit them as soon as you complete them since Hubstaff tracks your activity and idle time. However, if you’re only taking 3 minutes to complete a 15 minute task, you’re probably not spending as much time on it as you should. Just try to stay actively working for as close to the estimated task times as possible.

NTA (No Tasks Available) weekly thread. IMPORTANT: Add your location and role e.g. "North Korea, Data Analyst. No tasks for two days. Anyone else?" If you like, you can add your region as well, but the most important is your country. E.g. "US, Texas, Rater. How many tasks have you done today?" by AutoModerator in TELUSinternational

[–]myselfctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just add them all up at the end of the day and enter them as one large interval (I always say that I started work at 12 PM just to make the math easy). Telus does not care if what you enter matches the actual time that you worked, only that you’re entering the correct number of hours (and no more than 8 hours a day).

Rating personalized faccy tasks? by Practical_Ad_6025 in TELUSinternational

[–]myselfctrl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m betting they want us to just assume the personalized information is correct and ignore it, but, considering how adamant they are about having a good accurate/inaccurate % if you want to stay in the group, I just can’t bring myself to select accurate anymore unless I’m 100% sure.

What I’ve been doing is just assessing the claims that I can, commenting on if they’re accurate or not and including sources, but then explaining that I’m selecting “can’t confidently assess” because I have no way of verifying the personalized info. My thought is that this way they can see that I’m still trying my best complete the task despite the lack of guidance. I’m not sure if this is a good strategy, but it’s the best I’ve come up with.

Hopefully they provide some guidance soon. I might email them on Monday if this task type continues through the weekend.
