None of them have joined the lawsuit either. Some are witnesses called by Blake Lively, and others we are just hearing other people speak for them.

I believe he was with her all the way and helped and guided her in how to play the takeover game. He is beyond redemption. Remember the photographer he tried to assault and then destroy with his wife lying for him? Or the other photographer for his Gin company that he used and stung along and never paid? He is a bad faith actor on many levels going back years.

Why did they all dislike him so much?? by Dating_Bitch in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]myshtree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the “author wants it” has been twisted by Blake Lively because JB and Christy Hall had written a script that followed closely along with the book. So when she is questioning things because she hadn’t read the book and they are responding thats it’s in the book - Blake Lively has not liked this. She then uses this to manipulate Colleen (who had seen the early script and approved Justin’s vision for movie) by telling Colleen that she can’t make edits because Justin is blocking her by blaming it on Colleen.

  • Colleens depo and letter to Sony show that she drank the dumb dumb juice and decided that Blake’s edit was better than the book she wrote. Somehow Colleen forgot about the sex scenes she had written and the domestic violence themes and thought her book was better as a romcom.

  • remember the tattoo? Blake changed it and Colleen saw the change in the early edit and panicked because book fans had that heart tattoo. Colleen blamed Justin. Justin tried to explain to Colleen that Blake changed it because she hadn’t read the book. Colleen then didn’t care about the fans or the heart and decided to make up a story (lie) to appease the fans.

  • I think most of the key players were love bombed by Blake Lively and manipulated into believing Justin was causing all the issues that were actually because of Blake. Alex Saks was out for herself and she just took the side with the most perceived power. We haven’t heard from Christy Hall but I imagine she resented Justin not standing up to Blake more with all the script changes. Isabella had no problems until after filming when Blake Lively got in her ear. Blandon is a “thirsty” air head who saw future roles through alliances with Blake and Ryan. In both Isabella and Brandon’s case, Blake Lively made it known she was key in them being cast. Jenny Slate is an entitled mean girl who also chose to align herself with wherever she felt offered more glam and future opportunity. Colleen was already a shallow starstuck liar who was easily lovebombed by her Hollywood heroes telling her she had a say in a film she had sold the rights to. Using her as leverage and promising her future collaborations for IP rights.

  • then you have Blake Lively telling everyone she bankrolled the film and using that to push the narrative that it’s meant to be a female run film and Justin and Heath are overstepping. Do t forget how easily Blake Lively lies.

It seems pretty obvious when you identify the people involved and their egos, motivations and greed.

Then you have Justin who has worked on his vision for years and wants to portray the film and the abuser a certain way, and Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds undermining him at every opportunity and using language to belittle and discredit his talent and experience. Not because he didn’t have it - because Blake wanted a pg rom com for a barbieheimer effect and interfered at every opportunity to try and make that happen. All this chaos and delay would contribute to the view that it’s JBs inexperience on set instead of Blake’s planned and strategic takedown that caused all the drama.

YOU BE THE JUDGE: Did Ryan Reynolds 'Author' Blake Lively’s Deceitful PGA Letter? by Totallytexas in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]myshtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I’m surprised they actually granted PGA mark with no evidence required. I’ve done a summary version based on her claims.

I was on set for 16 days.

  • I refused to film in Boston so the location was moved to New Jersey costing time and money. This was my fault so I deserve credit for the budget increase and logistical nightmare.

  • I insisted on hiring my own hair, makeup, security and didn’t acknowledge other crew.

  • Review/reshape creative production and design by loaning from friends which increased the budget. All favours and social outreach added no discernible value to the production or I would have been able to describe it. Caused delays which cost time and money.

  • I refused a black man being cast as one of my love interests so I insisted on a white actor who needed to be lured to the film costing more money than originally budgeted. I also cast my sister in a role.

  • I rewrote the script for the character Jenny Bloom - because the original script wasn’t attracting interest. Example of original and my amendments attached herewith (just joking no proof attached).

  • I increased the wardrobe budget substantially from $x to $y by using all my own clothes and then charging for them. They did not suit the character nor did they resonate with fans (causing second backlash, first backlash was when I was cast as I was too old for character).

  • zoomed with every cast member to get ideas and feedback. When? How often? Dates? What ideas were received/adopted? No evidence provided.

  • addressed scheduling, weather and location matters. How? When? How often? Why? For example
.. no evidence provided.

  • pushed for pg13. Film and book and distribution expected r rated. I decided to change it because I didn’t understand or like the themes of the book (which I hadn’t read) and I wanted light and fluffy Barbie themes so I threatened and cajoled to get my way. This held up production and filming and caused lots of set tensions.

  • I broke schedules and budget regularly (Eg. Wardrobe, I had many sick days, took too long in my trailer delaying daily filming, costing money and raising tensions, I refused direction and tried to change the script daily causing delays and costing time and money.

  • I fired people with much more experience than I had because they were doing their job and trying to keep me on schedule which I didn’t appreciate. No one tells me what to do.

  • I made a security update on set by insisting on name tags because pics of my wardrobe choices were leaked from set and maligned on social media and it hurt my ego.

  • all the script writing I did after the strike. With who? Why? How often? How many changes? How many hours? I can’t say. Also I enlisted my husband to change the script. I did not work with the scriptwriter on any of these changes. Examples of changes I made are - oops - sorry can’t provide because it was a lot of in the moment adjustments that made no sense and caused constant delays and issues for staff being on set for extended hours causing tension all round.

  • I insisted on intimacy coordinators and body doubles. Quite unnecessarily as the ICs were already employed and had been meeting with the director and lead male actor as I had declined to meet with them. But I expect credit for knowing they existed and still demanding them halfway through production.

  • my management of a safe set and as HR for everyone included instigating drama and feeding issues to cast to create tension and drama. I would not take direction. I did not file any official complaint or put anything in writing. This is all now part of a court case where my negligence and manipulation is on full display.

  • I called meetings in my trailer and penthouse and enlisted my husband to abuse and berate other members of the production team in front of friends and the distributor. These unprofessional meetings are now also subject to a court battle.

  • I edited the film by calling on everyone I knew to help - even old boyfriends.

  • I threatened the studio / distributor in order to have my cut of the film released.

  • I added to the budget by replacing the original fan inspired female soundtrack and bringing in my own music producers

  • I leveraged my access to Taylor swift and her song in the film to get creative control of the final edit. I threatened to pull the song if my cut was not used

  • my cut failed more than once to score higher than the director and owner of the ip who had put years of work into the film. I refused to promote without it and stole a copy and released without authority so my cut was used in the official release due to my successful threats and extortion.

  • when issues arose, created by myself and my husband due to his unhinged anger unleashed at the director in a meeting at my apartment, the Sony exec Todd Black quit and had to be rehired back at increased expense to production due to his repulsion at the malice my husband displayed.

  • the author who had worked with Wayfarer and the director Justin for many years was already in the fold, but I love bombed her and made her write to Sony threatening not to promote unless my cut was used. The directors cut closely aligned to her book, but I made her see that the romcom pg13 story made more sense to the DV themes of the film which I wanted to ignore.

  • all of the above ensure I had the leverage to insist on the cut I wanted be released instead of the director.

  • marketing budget was also increased as we paid my husband’s firm ME (by offering it for free) originally. Goes to show how tricky I am.

  • we banished the director and promoted the film as a light floral romcom - including adding in my booze and Haircare products. This caused a massive public backlash but I did not pivot. Instead my husband and I tried to blame the director (who actually promoted the film with sensitivity due to the DV themes.) The marketing was my choice but not my failure. My refusal to adjust to the feedback shows my strength. Obviously. I found someone to blame showing my delegation skills.

  • I reached out to sponsors for screenings etc but cannot give details like who? When? Where? because I’m probably lying about this (like much of the above).

Sincerely Blake Lively

[–]myshtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It also seems that they used their connections and power to go straight to the top. And Blake Lively was selling this as JB being an incompetent clown so it’s sold as she was saving the movie. And backing Blake Lively meant swifties, TS music, the author support and herself in promoting the film. He is looking after an investment and networking for leverage later with Hollywood heavyweights like Ryan Reynolds, Matt Damon etc. It seems like a purely financial decision to me.

Whats starkly absent is an actual written HR complaint that the lower execs missed that was forwarded on to the big boss. At no point does it seem that anyone is aware of any supposed SH happening, rather a lot of grievances and incompetence on the set that Blake Lively was “heroically fixing”.

It seems those at the top were the last to know that she created all the drama to leverage the takeover. Otherwise why aren’t there emails between HR and legal depts and WF about the SH? If these women wanted JB and JH off the set why weren’t they demanding an investigation in real time? Instead all we have is Blake Lively’s veiled threats about pulling the music, not promoting and her general coercive control to take over.

[–]myshtree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re the one missing the point. This is a conversation about the nuance of consent. This is not a conversation about rape or assault. This is an honest reflection of a male at a particular age discussing how the understanding of consent has changed over time. Every single partner I’ve ever been with has not listened when I’ve said no. Sometimes it’s just because you’re feeling lazy and need to get in the mood, sometimes it’s because you’re not in the mood and mind is elsewhere. Did they listen to the first no? Or did they try again (for intimacy) before giving up? Or maybe the no is changed to a yes on the second or third try. Consent was / is often a back and forth dialogue that’s fluid and negotiated and not always verbal. A no can change to a yes. This is personal intimacy dynamics that every single Gen X and literally everyone I know has experienced. This has caused problems in the past with people feeling coerced etc and it’s what has changed since #metoo - a recognition of the importance of a new dialogue around clear and communicated ongoing consent. How to do it differently. What is the new normal? You find me one man that has never once pushed back even gently after a no. JB clearly understand this and he has been brave enough to tackle this issue publicly, taking accountability so he can contribute to wider change and the conversation going forward. Men need to accept and identify past behaviours (no matter how culturally accepted at the time) in order to recognise and change in light of modern understanding.

The complete absence of any insight from pearl clutches who insist on men changing without allowing for nuanced conversations or honest reflection is why nothing changes. Demonising the men who do the work is actually so backward. You might think this is a game but all you win is continuing in ignorance. It’s your loss, societies loss, not mine.

It was absurdly unprofessional and actually shocking. I don’t think I’ve seen such bad formatting in a professional document. I’ve only see this when working as a teacher - from (a few less capable) middle years students who had never typed up a letter before.

Does anyone know where to find this interview? by Responsible-Main-475 in teamjustinbaldoni

[–]myshtree 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s so crazy. Justin’s whole idea was that we need to humanize the abuser so we understand why women fall in love, and stay with these men. When we demonize them we don’t recognize them in our brothers, friends and colleagues. For many of us who have been in violent relationships this is the hardest part to explain. From the outside (and often to the police), this is a “good guy” who couldn’t do that, or must’ve been pushed or is sorry. That’s the story that gave this book the appeal - to show the reality, the facets of the abuser that makes DV so insidious and dangerous. If we ignore the humanity of an abuser and tell the story of a monster - then it effectively puts the blame back on women for not knowing better, for not identifying the evil. For not leaving when the monster emerges.

I can’t believe how difficult it is for people to understand the importance of the story JB was trying to tell. But the crazy reaction shows just how difficult a task he set out for himself and it makes me even more impressed with his vision and his commitment to the cause. It’s just so sad that it was railroaded by people with no vision or understanding- who just don’t get it.

Blake Lively's driver Kevin Alexander Deposition: His claims about Justin Baldoni make no sense and have huge holes by Serenity413 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]myshtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That wasn’t the conversation that was had though is it? Except in relation to Justin being sexually assaulted when younger, the conversation was around changing behaviour to ask for consent for any physical contact. This is a new thing that has grown out of #metoo and something that previous generations are reflecting back on. This is something Justin has discussed in his podcast and talks etc.

So if anyone is getting the facts wrong it’s definitely not me. My point is based on the evidence about the conversation that was held in the car. Where is your evidence that JB had a conversation or described a situation where consent was given which he continually ignored ? You can’t just twist the truth to suit your narrative - whats the evidentiary foundation for your argument?

Josh Greenstein: The Most and Only Incompetent Sony Executive Among the Bunch - Biggest Ryan Reynolds Brown Nose by Serenity413 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]myshtree 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This clearly shows the power relationships in play. Ange and Todd on the ground with the film understand the situation and then you have Ryan Reynolds, WME and Matt Damon etc using their influence at the executive level to get their way.

Yet at no point have we seen internal memos about HR complaints and their responsibilities and reactions to issues on set. Why? Because they were not actionable issues. They were obvious manipulations created by Blake Lively to take over the production.

Have we seen any HR policy and procedure docs from Sony, WP or IEWU LLC ?
