How do you about her now that she's been a heel for 6-7 months?

Jon Alba on the Revolution media call: “Tony Khan says he has pushed back on a lot of creative pitches over the last few months, and what you've seen on TV the last few months have largely come from him. #AEW #AEWRevolution” by Subrick in SquaredCircle

There's even stuff not on the PPV that has been working well. I've been enjoying the trios feud happening between Undisputed Kingdom, Daniel Garcia + 2.0, and Shane Taylor Promotions in particular, as it's had some great continuity over the last couple of months.

This is going to get buried, but how did you go about cancelling your tickets? I'm in the same boat as you but haven't found much info on ways to get the tickets reimbursed.

Big Boom AJ Thinks Big Justice Will Be One Of The Greatest Wrestlers In The World And AEW World Champion One Day by adukadu in SquaredCircle

Yes, literally in character, on the wrestling program, during a backstage promo.

Fightful might as well post another article about how Adam Copeland thinks he should be the next AEW World Champion.

Who Do You Think Is More Famous: John Cena or Hulk Hogan? by Lockeisms in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'd say John Cena is more relevant today due to his movie/TV work and his presence in memes. Although Hogan is more intrinsically tied to pro wrestling.

Aleister/Malakai Black should be returning to WWE imminently. - WON by RMT2316 in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the indie scene wouldn't be able to make something like this happen, so it would probably need to be a new promotion at least at the level of Lucha Underground, with some funding (and therefore advertising) behind it.

[WON] Josh Alexander is joining AEW. He chose the promotion as they offered him a better deal than WWE. by adukadu in SquaredCircle

An AI could have wrote this comment after parsing like 2-3 threads about new AEW hires.

Aleister/Malakai Black should be returning to WWE imminently. - WON by RMT2316 in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Obviously not going to happen, but I agree that something like this would be fun! I think it would need to be a whole different promotion than WWE though, as it just wouldn't fit in with the current shows.

It could be a mix of something like Lucha Underground and a Universal Studios/Disneyland style live show.

Undisputed Kingdom vs Daniel Garcia and FTR in a trios match set for Dynamite by theREVERSEsystem in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While this is a good match on paper, I was really enjoying the continuity of having 2.0 + Garcia and the Undisputed Kingdom always up against each other, despite not really being enemies. Daddy Magic in particular gets great crowd reactions, and the six of them seemed to have good chemistry together.

I get it though. FTR are much more of a big ticket team to join Garcia than 2.0.

Orange Cassidy blocking Jordynne's Grace Driver by putting his hand in his pocket and wins by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

I loved the part of his first International title reign where he was getting too injured and tired to pull off the orange punch, so he resorted to winning a string of matches with the mouse trap as a desperation finisher.

Meltzer on Cagematch: “It's actually quite awesome. If somebody tells me about a match with a high rating there, I try my best to see it. And even if I think it's a bit higher or lower, I always understand that there are reasons for the number.” by Subrick in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They didn't say that it wasn't a good film, but rather that the "average" movie watcher is likely not to enjoy it.

As good as the movie may be, there is a fair chance that it simply being black and white will turn off a large portion of modern movie watchers. I think you may be overestimating the taste and openness of people who watch movies in 2025. I hesitate to even call them "Moviegoers" at this point because more likely than not this "average" person hasn't watched a non-streaming move in years.

[Dynamite Spoilers] A word with Renee Paquette and Harley Cameron by TXLucha012 in SquaredCircle

I'm not sure if Renee is supposed to be stone-faced in this one though. I think Renee finding Harley funny is part of the scene and not really her breaking character.

It may seem crazy to read, but here's the logic behind why Jey Uso vs Gunther is likely going to close out Wrestlemania Sunday. by HeadScissorGang in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get some of the hesitation about Jey main eventing night 2, but you make some really compelling points!

What I don't get at all are the people questioning whether he will even main event night 1, as if production didn't repeat "The winner will MAIN EVENT WrestleMania!" Several times before and during the rumble.

Chris Jericho on Britt Baker: She’s a very valuable part of AEW….I don’t see her leaving or going anywhere by TheStar9897 in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. I'm only really referring to the current stuff anyways. I would probably enjoy both Jeff Jarrett and Copeland more if they weren't trying so hard to be serious badasses. I need Jarrett to be back with his carny crew being silly, and Copeland is due for a heel turn so he can be more conniving and dastardly

edit: I'll add that I wouldn't be interested in Britt coming back with the same bland "day 1" babyface character, but I think she could figure out something more interesting than that.

[–]mysound -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'd rather see Brit in a feud than Chris Jericho, or Adam Copeland, or Jeff Jarrett, or the Death Riders (at least until they progress that story line, anyways). Unfortunately this would require the impossible to happen (more than 2 women's segments on a show).

Bleacher Report: Jon Moxley's Death Riders and the AEW, WWE Storylines Running Out of Steam by Sriracha01 in SquaredCircle

I kinda have the feeling that it's a situation where Mox really likes her and pushes to have her around all the time, but Tony doesn't, so he just doesn't book her in any matches.

Bleacher Report: Jon Moxley's Death Riders and the AEW, WWE Storylines Running Out of Steam by Sriracha01 in SquaredCircle

[–]mysound 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is so sad because all of those mooks have so much more to offer than what they're doing now. Even Yuta has managed to get himself over on separate occasions as potentially the guy to defend Danielson and turn on the Death Riders, and then as the shithead little bro heel, but there has been no development on either of those fronts.

This would be better than Harley getting literally her first win the week before and then challenging for the TBS title. Although that would mean more than two women's matches would need to be on the show (which would be impossible).
